Lulu Organics®’s organic hair powder is the hip younger sister of mainstream dry shampoos: she’s eco-conscious, health-savvy, and has vague plans of packing her bags and moving to Portland. Analogies aside, this winning natural formula revives second day locks by absorbing volume-zapping oil. It has a lovely lavender scent laced with the faintest trace of herbal clary sage. And since it leaves no chalky white residue behind, even dark-haired girls can use it.
It's good for travel but it's too messy and difficult to distribute. I prefer dry shampoo in the aerosol form2
Maybe I'm not coordinated enough to use this, but I ended up with powder along my hairline and on my clothes after brushing. The smell was great though!3
I enjoyed this specifically because of the smell. The actual effect was not as great, but the scent is perfect4
Not a bad dry shampoo! It doesn't get that sticky or chalky feeling, and the scent is better than any other dry shampoo I've used. Packaging is obviously super cute, just make sure to heed the directions and apply correctly.4
This smelled great , much better than most dry shampoos . Didn't like that I had to use my hands though . This is for you if you don't like the smell of traditional dry shampoos but don't mind using your hands to apply3
Let me start my saying I was hesitant about this product. I used this hair powder one morning before going out for breakfast.
My hair looked like it had dandruff all through it. Not for light blonde hair.
If you are having a bad hair day because you didn't have time to wash your hair this morning, this is your quick fix. It will make your hair look and smell like new!4
I prefer aerosol dry shampoos. The only time I like a sprinkly powder is when I'm using it to tease and poof my hair out, which this isn't good for. It does absorb oil well (it's basically just corn starch), but it's very visible. I don't have terribly dark hair (it's auburn) but it makes my hair look very dull and greyish. However, I find myself reaching for it more than I do my other dry shampoos, I guess because I can just pour it on and rub my hands through it a bunch, which isn't as effective and doesn't look as good but is the easiest way.4
This may be a great product, it may do its job like no other...but the fact that I have to be a contortionist in order to apply it negates all of its good qualities. A sprinkle on applicator is a pretty bad idea....in my opinion.2
Loved the lavender and sage scent of this dry shampoo. Plus, I also loved that it was a fine powder and great to have a non-aerosol product. However, I find it hard to apply from the bottle. I've over applied a few times. I tried to sprinkle lightly, but must not have a patient and steady hand.3
