Lulu Organics®’s organic hair powder is the hip younger sister of mainstream dry shampoos: she’s eco-conscious, health-savvy, and has vague plans of packing her bags and moving to Portland. Analogies aside, this winning natural formula revives second day locks by absorbing volume-zapping oil. It has a lovely lavender scent laced with the faintest trace of herbal clary sage. And since it leaves no chalky white residue behind, even dark-haired girls can use it.
It's good for travel but it's too messy and difficult to distribute. I prefer dry shampoo in the aerosol form2
Maybe I'm not coordinated enough to use this, but I ended up with powder along my hairline and on my clothes after brushing. The smell was great though!3
Loved the light scent, but I had trouble blending the powder in so that it wasn't noticeable. I have had better luck with a spray dry shampoo, but of the powders I have used, this is my favorite.4
I do love dry shampoos, and this one has a good smell and gave me the right amount of texture. The only thing I wish is it was in aerosol spray form - would be must easier to apply.3
I have not used hair powders until I have become a birch box member. I really love this product. I mostly use it when my hair is feeling greasy, it really helps!5
I was excited to try this dry shampoo. I really like the packaging, the fact that it is ingredient conscious, and the scent. However, it just didn't work that well. My hair gets really oily and this wasn't enough to absorb that oil.3
I've been waiting forever to try this product! Super excited to finally get a sample and even more excited after I tried it out. It smells so herbally good and really does the trick. No white cast and I have dark brown hair. The packaging isn't travel friendly, so that's a bummer, because that's when I really love to use dry shampoo.5
This hair powder has a fine texture and is easy to blend into the roots of hair and also has a nice smell. However, I could only use it by shaking into my hands and then patting onto my head, which made it a bit difficult to apply.4
It smelled nice and felt nice on my hands but it left too much white residue in my hair.4
I am an avid dry shampoo user. I was very excited to try this product. I was disappointed with the scent and the fact that it didn't fully absorb into my hair. It is similar to just dumping baby powder on your hair. It may work for someone with blonde hair, but didn't blend well with my dark roots, even after rubbing it in.
