Lulu Organics®’s organic hair powder is the hip younger sister of mainstream dry shampoos: she’s eco-conscious, health-savvy, and has vague plans of packing her bags and moving to Portland. Analogies aside, this winning natural formula revives second day locks by absorbing volume-zapping oil. It has a lovely lavender scent laced with the faintest trace of herbal clary sage. And since it leaves no chalky white residue behind, even dark-haired girls can use it.
I never use any form of dry shampoo product. Ever. As a woman with very "ethnic" hair, it does my absolutely no favors. I get dry shampoos pretty regularly in my boxes, which baffles me considering that my curly hair is usually very dry.
I tried Lulu Organics® Lavender + Clary Sage Hair Powder in hopes that it would be something I could use after a workout. I sprinkled it on and tried to work it in, but it stuck out like a sore thumb in my very dark hair. And it made my hair feel horribly dry. While it smelled nice (I'm wondering if I can get away with using the rest of the sample as body powder), I would never put this in my hair again. I absolutely would not purchase, and wouldn't recommend to anyone whose hair is dark, or curly, or dry. I really hope I stop receiving these kinds of products in my box.
I don't use dry shampoos or hair powders because I don't like the way they make my scalp feel. I usually get very itchy after using these types of products. I found this one to be especially heavy since it's not a spray.1
I live dry shampoos but the packaging on this is extremely poor. It's so messy to apply.1
I was not impressed with this product. First of all, I didn't like the way that this is used. A powder that you shake onto roots is very old fashioned. A dry shampoo in a spray bottle is much easier and doesn't get all over your hands. Secondly, thw fragrance of this product was TOO strong. I like lavender but this gave me a headache all day. I've received other dry shampoos that I really like but I really didn't like anything about this item. I was disappointed with my Birchbox this month.1
Seriously. How many times do I write that I don't use dry shampoo? Maybe once or twice I've used it in a desperate punch but I avoid dry shampoos like the plague and this is no different than the sprays that I've gotten. Yes it works, but no dry shampoo on this earth can clean my very naturally oily, needs to be washed on the daily once, hair. I feel like my hair is still oily and dirty. Nothing against this product personally just all dry shampoos In general although this definitely worked better than the sprays and was not visible.1
This was so messy-like dumping baby powder on your head. Sprays are so much easier I couldn't imagine using this. I also thought the scent was overwhelming.1
While it smelled good I couldn't get past the mess it was to use. I don't think it works as well as the spray and I'm really not crazy about the image on the container.1
I don't know why I keep getting dry shampoos from birchbox. I don't want them, I've negatively reviewed all of them, and I don't have any desire to ever use one again. This one is the worst. It's messy and I don't see the point. It did nothing for me.1
I use dry shampoo regularly and this powder was not doing it for me. I prefer a spray. The scent was also over powering. I like the message or idea but the powder is messy and not for me.1
Pretty upset with the amounts of dry shampoo I've received in my birchbox because I don't use it. I have curly hair and tend to need to wash my hair every day so I don't have the need for this.1
