Lulu Organics®’s organic hair powder is the hip younger sister of mainstream dry shampoos: she’s eco-conscious, health-savvy, and has vague plans of packing her bags and moving to Portland. Analogies aside, this winning natural formula revives second day locks by absorbing volume-zapping oil. It has a lovely lavender scent laced with the faintest trace of herbal clary sage. And since it leaves no chalky white residue behind, even dark-haired girls can use it.
I have dark brown hair and this just does not work. You can't really brush it out and it leaves a residue on the scalp. Just not what I was looking for.1
I have very, very greasy hair and know that washing it less often is better for your hair. I know that you need to train your hair to get less greasy with washing it less so i have tried several dry shampoos in order to accomplish this. Some have worked better than others but overall I have yet to find a solution I happy with. This particular powder did absolutely nothing for my hair, in fact it made it feel even dirtier to me and i was forced to wear a hat to cover my hair.1
Made me look like I had grey hair! I ended up having to wash my hair anyway, so it saved me no time. Not for me.1
I agree with other users regarding the sage smell being preferable to the overpowering, distinctive smell of most dry shampoos. That being said, I had to use A LOT of the powder to see any results, And honestly, I just looked like I had powder on my scalp and my hair still appeared unwashed. I would not recommend this product.1
The smell to this was so overpowering it when I sprinkled it in my hand that I quickly wiped it off and washed my hands with soap and water. If I had put it in my hair it would have, no doubt, triggered a migraine for me. I would have loved to try the actual product but it would have to be unscented for me.1
Sent was enjoyable, however, I ended up looking like I was wearing a greasy powdered wig. I'm always on the hunt for a good hair powder and unfortunately the hunt continues.1
I have short hair and must wash everyday so this product is not something I would use. My daughters in their 20's love this product, but it is not for someone in their 50's.1
This product is not necessary when baby does the same thing if not better. Baby powder definitely smells better. I would not buy this product ever.1
I live in Vermont, so dry shampoo is a necessity during the winter and I was excited by the prospect of a nice smelling one. However, this left a bright white residue on my dark hair and it wouldn't brush out before I had to go to work. I was thoroughly disappointed.1
The sent is too strong and the sample packaging is unrealistic for reuse after opening. Also I have no use for it BC my hair isn't oily.1
