Lulu Organics®’s organic hair powder is the hip younger sister of mainstream dry shampoos: she’s eco-conscious, health-savvy, and has vague plans of packing her bags and moving to Portland. Analogies aside, this winning natural formula revives second day locks by absorbing volume-zapping oil. It has a lovely lavender scent laced with the faintest trace of herbal clary sage. And since it leaves no chalky white residue behind, even dark-haired girls can use it.
I have curly hair and wash my nearly every day, so this product really isn't useful for me. I used it on one of my I'm-lazy-and-don't-want-to-wash-my-hair days and really didn't see any difference...or the point. The powder got everywhere and the smell was too strong for me.1
I've used dry shampoo in the past with mixed results, so I was looking forward to trying this product. I followed the directions and found that the product did absolutely nothing for my hair other than masking any unpleasant smell with the perfumes. Very disappointed.1
I do not like Dry Shampoos. I still purchase them in hopes that they will work for my very oily hair. It never does. This didnt seem to work . I just got a lot of white clumps in my hair and ended up washing my hair anyway, I am the have to wash my hair every morning type of person.1
Nice smell but did nothing to reduce the greasy look my hair gets after a couple days of not washing. I highly prefer aerosol dry shampoo over this product.1
I don't use dry shampoo, I tried with the sample and while it smelled good, I couldn't deal with not washing my hair everyday. Not for me.1
I don't often use hair powders, as my hair/scalp are quite dry. I used this the other morning when I didn't have time to shower. I didn't really notice any difference in my hair, and I really didn't like the scent ( I don't care for lavender). I've used other dry shampoos/hair powders that have worked better for me.1
I have curly hair which doesn't really tend to get oily after not washing. For those of you with curly hair - my hair just looses its curl. So when I used the product, it wasn't really what I needed. It might work better for someone with a different texture of hair.1
This product smelled nice, but with a short pixie haircut I would rather take a quick shower (hair takes 30 seconds, or less, to dry!) than put dry shampoo in my hair.1
I wasn't a fan of this product, but that may have something to do with the packaging of the sample. It was really difficult to disperse the powder evenly after pouring it out of the little envelope and into my hand. It was just really messy and awkward. And I really wasn't crazy about the scent. Maybe if the sample packaging was more effective it would have worked better for me.1
I have thick curly hair. I knew using this product wouldn't really work for my hair type, but I wanted to try it anyways. It worked well on refreshing my roots. But having to comb through of course left my hair frizzed out. I bet it would work great if you had a straight hair!
The sample packaging sucked. I tried to open it gently, but the powder still puffed out every where and made a bit of a mess.
