Lulu Organics®’s organic hair powder is the hip younger sister of mainstream dry shampoos: she’s eco-conscious, health-savvy, and has vague plans of packing her bags and moving to Portland. Analogies aside, this winning natural formula revives second day locks by absorbing volume-zapping oil. It has a lovely lavender scent laced with the faintest trace of herbal clary sage. And since it leaves no chalky white residue behind, even dark-haired girls can use it.
I was actually thinking that I needed to go find a dry shampoo for the days I straighten my curls and get into day 2 when the grease sets in. So this was a very happy find in my Birchbox!
I was surprised at how much I loved the scent and wanted to use this even when I didn't need it. Having never used dry shampoo before, I wasn't sure how much is normal to use for a product like this. I found myself having to use quite a bit of the sample and to re-apply throughout the day. I never really kicked the sensation of feeling greasy but it did help to minimize how it looked on the outside.
No residue and like I said, I love the lavender.
I will keep trying it for now but I'm not sure it is the miracle I was looking for - maybe it's better for straight-haired people.
I'm still not completely sold on the whole idea of a hair powder. At least this one smells good.4
I liked this product but feel like using lavender baby powder is just as effective and just as nicely scented--and a LOT cheaper. I like this powder but I am reluctant to spend $30 on it.4
I loved the product itself - just not a big lavender person4
I love dry shampoos - they save me when I'm in a hurry. This one smelled really lovely, but left a funny white residue on my auburn, straight, fine hair.3
I don't typically need dry shampoo but this product seemed to work really well and didn't leave any white powder in my hair.5
I use dry shampoos usually after the gym but this is the first time I've tried a powder. I thought this smelled nice but no matter how much I tried to rub it in or brush it through, you could still see the white powdery residue on my roots. It looked like I was starting to go gray!3
I think this product did a great job in my hair. it concealed the oil perfectly and had a pleasant smell that I enjoyed. I will be buying this product in the near future!5
It was a great product, however the scent was too strong. I needed more of the hair powder than expected. It worked fine but needed too much of it.4
Fantastic smell. Much better than my old drug store standby. A little messy to apply, but worth it.5
