Lulu Organics®’s organic hair powder is the hip younger sister of mainstream dry shampoos: she’s eco-conscious, health-savvy, and has vague plans of packing her bags and moving to Portland. Analogies aside, this winning natural formula revives second day locks by absorbing volume-zapping oil. It has a lovely lavender scent laced with the faintest trace of herbal clary sage. And since it leaves no chalky white residue behind, even dark-haired girls can use it.
I really wanted to like this as I have oily scalp and dry ends so I try to get away with not washing everyday. However, this would zap oil when I applied it but by the end of the day it seemed like my hair was even greasier than it is when I don't use anything at all on second day hair. There really wasn't much smell to it either and it was hard to apply. The sample packaging was terrible.2
I prefer this power type dry shampoo than spray type things. Whenever I apply a spray type shampoo, I feel like inhaling chemicals.4
i wanted to like this but it just didn't work for me1
I use dry shampoo a lot, so I was excited to try this. It worked pretty well, and the smell was nice. It's not the best dry shampoo I've ever used, but certainly not the worst either.4
I would say the difference between this product and all the other dry shampoos out there is the fact that it is organic. I really enjoy the lavender scent. My issue is that I don't feel it is very effective for my super oily hair. My hair smells good but I didn't find it making that much a difference.1
This product works well-- it absorbs oil great and doesn't leave any visible powder on your scalp. I wish it had a nicer fragrance though.4
I absolutely love the smell of this dry shampoo. It freshened up my roots quickly and didn't leave them looking chalky.4
i like this stuff, but i can do basically the same thing for a buck with baking soda, cornstarch, and lavender essential oil (which is actually what i do use for dry shampoo). i'd consider buying just for the convenience and pretty packaging if it wasn't so expensive.4
I thought the dry shampoo was okay, I already have a similar product that I use.4
Since I have very blonde hair, I sometimes use baby powder in the roots of my hair instead of completely washing it. I have never loved that because of the smell and the fact that it is hard to blend. This product solves both of those problems - it smells excellent and blends really naturally into my hair. After receiving the sample, I ordered the full-size product and it is my go-to for days when I just need to use a dry shampoo!5
