Lulu Organics®’s organic hair powder is the hip younger sister of mainstream dry shampoos: she’s eco-conscious, health-savvy, and has vague plans of packing her bags and moving to Portland. Analogies aside, this winning natural formula revives second day locks by absorbing volume-zapping oil. It has a lovely lavender scent laced with the faintest trace of herbal clary sage. And since it leaves no chalky white residue behind, even dark-haired girls can use it.
I have used a bunch of different dry shampoos and I really liked this one. I would have thought the powder would leave a residue, but it did not. It also smells really good which is a bonus!5
This hair powder is amazing. It smells great and actually absorbs the oil in my hair without turning my hair white like most dry shampoos. It can get a bit more messy than dry shampoos in a spray can, but it helps to just put a little powder in your palm and use a makeup brush to apply it to your hair.5
I've always wanted to try a dry shampoo/hair powder and I really liked this one!4
I love the organic properties of this product, but I don't feel that it does as good of a job as the sprays. It's a little pricey, and I feel like I would go through it way too fast.4
This product works well to make your hair smell nice, but I didn't see that it was particularly effective at absorbing oil.4
Loved the smell! I love anything that smells like lavender. Dry shampoo just doesn't do it for me - I'd rather shower and clean my hair properly. Also love the vintage packaging though, so pretty.3
I can't say I like the idea of dry shampoo much. Not to mention I have very thick hair, so I had to use a lot more than the "dime sized" amount. I wash my hair every day and it's actually really healthy (even my hair stylist says so), so I don't really see the need for dry shampoo (for me at least)1
This product is really neat. I've heard about the dry shampoo but this is a little different. It made my normally matted/slept on hair smell fresh after a couple days without washing. It's cold outside where I am so an extra day without getting my hair wet is nice. The packaging of the sample was pretty unique, too.4
Smelt divine but was impractical. I opened the package very gently and still ended up with powder all over myself! It also didn't soak up oil in my hair that well and was far less effective than my normal dry shampoo. Really wanted to like this product as the packaging is so glam but I didn't.2
I really enjoyed the smell of this product, but for my thick hair I needed to use much more than just a dime size. Towards the middle of the day, my hair didn't look that fresh, so I am not sure how effective it is at decreasing oil in my hair. I am willing to try it again, though - because I really like the smell and idea behind the product. Maybe if I use much more the results will be better.4
