Lulu Organics®’s organic hair powder is the hip younger sister of mainstream dry shampoos: she’s eco-conscious, health-savvy, and has vague plans of packing her bags and moving to Portland. Analogies aside, this winning natural formula revives second day locks by absorbing volume-zapping oil. It has a lovely lavender scent laced with the faintest trace of herbal clary sage. And since it leaves no chalky white residue behind, even dark-haired girls can use it.
I thought it was okay, but I can buy a bottle of baby powder myself, or use one of the cheaper, Tresemme, options.2
I love this product! The smell is amazing and I love how it really makes a difference in my second day hair. Thank you, Birchbox!5
The product is interesting, but I find it a little difficult to fit it into my regular hair routine! Still on the fence on this one.3
I personally can't go more than 24 hours without washing my hair, so honestly i was not sure i could get true use out of this product, i tried it and it smells really good, but i just felt self concious about my hair the whole day...3
The product works really well, but I don't care for the smell at all. My husband said it smelled like insecticide - not what I want my hair to smell like.2
Having only tried one other type of dry shampoo, I didn't really know what to expect. As an experiment, I used this on four-day-old hair, and I was surprised as to how it fluffed it right up! I noticed, though, that several hours later, my hair seemed dull-looking, so perhaps I should couple this product with some type of shine spray? Still, I was pleased at how instantly the hair powder absorbed the oil from my hair. I also liked how it didn't leave a grey/white residue on my dark brown hair, which is what a spray dry shampoo did. This, though, brushed out quite easily, and the smell was nice, too--very natural-smelling and not too perfumy.4
Didn't like the smell as well, I have dark curly hair and the powder dry shampoo doesn't really go very well with that since you have to brush your hair afterwards (so that the powder is brushed out) which causes curly hair to frizz and you can't just not brush your hair otherwise it looks like you have dandruff. But besides the smell, and brushing my hair, it didn't do that bad of a job of soaking the oils up.2
It wasn't that great. Smelled nice, but was very messy. Sample packaging was terrible. Didn't find it to be very effective either.2
ive never used stuff like this before, i have curly hair, and have always thought that dry shampoos were for blowouts, which i never get. but if i ever do i will try this stuff lol.3
I have very curly hair, & use of this product requires that you comb your hair after applying it - which is a no-go for curls like mine. I cannot use this product, so I passed it off to a straight-haired friend. because of the expired Befine products, this meant I couldn't use 50% of the items in my April box.1
