Lulu Organics®’s organic hair powder is the hip younger sister of mainstream dry shampoos: she’s eco-conscious, health-savvy, and has vague plans of packing her bags and moving to Portland. Analogies aside, this winning natural formula revives second day locks by absorbing volume-zapping oil. It has a lovely lavender scent laced with the faintest trace of herbal clary sage. And since it leaves no chalky white residue behind, even dark-haired girls can use it.
Not only does this product make your hair feel fresh and renewed, it smells great! I loved the lavender scent and the product disappears in hair quickly. I even used it on hair that was just slept on for a little revival and it worked great. Definitely recommend!5
I LOVE the smell of this product, though it was hard to blend into my hair (even when it was very greasy). Would definitely buy, just for the smell alone! So fresh and yummy!4
I was not a fan of this product. It made the roots of my hair look dull and it was hard to apply to my curly hair.2
great product. smelled great and worked wonderfully. my hair is so long, so it's a pain to wash it and style it all the time. this powder allowed me to skip a day or two and still have nice looking hair.5
With washing my hair only twice a week, I've grown to appreciate an excellent dry shampoo, but unfortunately this product is NOT it. My greasiest day always tends to be the morning/afternoon before I wash my hair so, as I would any other dry shampoo, I applied it the previous night before going to bed. The next day I woke up and my hair still looked greasy, and after adding some more to my roots, it still didn't help. Not wanting to give up quite yet, I tried it at least two other times with the same result.
The one good thing I have to say about this product is that it smells lovely. Even hours after applying, I could still smell a hint of lavender.
Unfortunately, despite the amazing scent, the bottom line is that the product is not an affective dry shampoo.
The product sample worked well, but the smell is a little strong for me. That will probably keep me from purchasing the full size product.3
I have been using baby powder for years on day after hair, and to be honest that tends to work just fine, but I cant wait to treat myself to Lulu's. Love the scent ( i could even handle a touch more intensity) and it is not as heavy as baby bowder but works just as well. Great product and love the packaging!5
Good product, although very expensive. I stocked up on TIGI Rockstar dry shampoo awhile back and will continue to use it til I run out.4
I use dry shampoo quite often, both Euro and American brands. unfortunately, this one seemed like just a version of the old "emergency" dry shampoo--talcum powder or corn starch--plus some scent. The quality just didn't rise to that "a-ha!" level.2
I color treat my hair pretty frequently so I rely on dry shampoos, which are better for dry hair. I use them pretty much every other day, so I was excited to see a high-end sample of dry shampoo in my November Birchbox.
However, while the packaging was pretty, it wasn't very useful. A ton of powder got all over my bathroom. Because the sample was small to begin with, it really felt like an unfair waste of product.
The scent was really nice, light and pretty and not too pungent. But, application was weak. You're supposed to put this product into your hands and then apply it with your hands-- but this is also messy to say the least. Additionally, it's really hard to get good coverage this way without making your scalp super-powdery.
I much prefer the aerosol sprays with my cheap dry shampoo, just because they're easier to use; even if they don't smell as good.
