Lulu Organics®’s organic hair powder is the hip younger sister of mainstream dry shampoos: she’s eco-conscious, health-savvy, and has vague plans of packing her bags and moving to Portland. Analogies aside, this winning natural formula revives second day locks by absorbing volume-zapping oil. It has a lovely lavender scent laced with the faintest trace of herbal clary sage. And since it leaves no chalky white residue behind, even dark-haired girls can use it.
So quick and easy. Makes my hair smell and look beautiful!5
The lavender and clary sage hair power is a little strong smelling and has a scent that smells slightly masculine to me. The sage scent tends to overpower the lavender scent. I've tried a lot of other dry shampoos before and prefer the scent of Clean's dry shampoo, and Oscar Blandi's dry shampoo. As fair as the texture of the powder and its effectiveness at combating greasy hair, the Lulu Organics powder works just as well as other dry shampoos I have tried.2
I can't decide if I like it or not. I have curly hair & if I don't wash it, or at least wet it, I look like an insane person. The powder certainly has a wonderful smell, but didn't help calm the morning insanity. I think if it were just greasy in the morning it would help. I think it's just not for my hair type...3
Wonderful life saving product. Great! Perfect for travel.5
I like the smell and the idea of this, but it didn't work very well on my "next day" curly hair. I had to pull it up to get through work and wash it to look nice again.3
Smells better than I was expecting. Makes hair feel clean for awhile, but less expensive more effective dry shampoos are available.4
I love using hair powder to make my blowouts last longer and this works wonderfully, plus it smells awesome!5
Wasn't a big fan of the smell and baby powder better for me than any hair powder I have ever tried and it is way more inexpensive.4
I was really excited to try this product. I am a grad student with about a million things to do, so dry shampoo or talc powder has been my best friend in the past. This is the first product that is specifically called 'hair powder' that I've ever tried. When I tried it out I was going into day three of unwashed hair. Typically, I can at least go two days without washing my hair and it not looking greasy, so I figured this was a good test. I combed it through the top of my head near the scalp area and into my bangs, since those are the two spots that give away dirty hair-ness for me. I didn't notice any life changing effects from the hair powder. It gave me the same sort of results as using baby powder, it just smelled like lavender. I doubt I would ever buy this at full-size when they are much cheaper options out there.4
It's really great because it doesn't contain talc and it smells really good. It also does a really good job keeping my hair clean.
However, it is kind of hard to apply. It needs to come with a little brush-type thing to put it on with.
