When we hear words like “nourish” and “conditioning,” the first product that comes to mind isn’t typically mascara. Borghese’s Superiore State-of-the-Art Mascara has arrived to shift our frame of reference. (We would expect nothing less from the luxury brand, which has a deep-rooted heritage dating back to the 14th century, yet is continuously innovating.) This long-lasting formula not only lengthens, separates, and curls, it moisturizes and strengthens lashes too, thanks to the brand’s exclusive Acqua di Vita "Living Water" Complex®. Superiore, indeed.
I love mascara. Hands down. I really had high hopes for this one but it did not do the trick for me. It took at least five applications to get it to the thickness and intensity that other brands get on the first application. Sorry.2
The thing with so many mascara's is they brag about plumping or lengthening but fail to deliver. This mascara is so thin it barely stained my blonde lashes. I couldn't get more volume with subsequent coatings so gave up after a few tries. Pity, because it's a generous sample size and the name is fancy.3
I don't love this mascara. There are many other options that I would choose over this one at this price point.3
I've received a lot of mascara samples and this one is by far the worst. It is way too flaky and does not apply well at all.1
This mascara worked really great...it did not clump and went on evenly!4
This seams like it could be a nice mascara for a more natural, lifted and separated look... but there was hardly anything in the sample I received.
I am a mascara junky and wish I could have had more to sample. I think I may have liked it.
I can't believe how great this mascara is! It goes on nice and thick but doesn't make your eyelashes get all clumpy. Plus, it's jet black so it really makes each individual eyelash pop. I love it!5
This was a little clumpy when I put it on. I also noticed it was flaking a little by the end of the day, which hasn't been my experience with other mascara samples I've gotten in the past.3
Did not work for me. I have fair skin and prefer tube type mascaras as they don't "fall"2
I will def buy on Birchbox because only place that sells is England thst I know of5
