Whether you it takes you 5 minutes or 50 minutes to get ready in the morning, what matters is that you make the most out of each and every step. This versatile cleanser takes that notion to heart, combining the effects of a preshave oil and exfoliating scrub in one exceptional treatment. Its multitasking formula sloughs away dead cells, stands up scruff, and prevents ingrown hairs, producing brighter, smoother postshave skin with half the effort.
I don't understand what this is for. Why not use a regular soap, or face soap? I saw no advantage in using this before shaving as opposed to cheaper options that don't feel as coarse.1
I am slowly learning all of the different steps in a skincare routine, and this is a new one to me. My skin does feel better after using this, not as many red bumps after I shave.5
just used the gameday samples i got in my last box. i really liked them. they have quite a bit of minty, menthol. i use a scrub most days as a cleanser. my regular brand's exfolient is very fine. this product is pretty coarse. i'm going to buy this, and the after shave, for days i need to wake up fast.
Game Day is my primary brand of choice for shaving products. I first received the Game Day after shave in my monthly box, and quickly was hooked. This Pre-shave really is intense, and as you complete your Game Day product set, shaving becomes a true luxury experience.5
I'll be honest, the scent took a little while for me to get used to. It was a little stronger than I am used to, and I couldn't identify the elements used in the formula, so it wasn't terribly familiar. That said, the scrub itself was invigorating for my skin, and really helped to wake me up in the morning. The graininess of the scrub made it a wonderful exfoliant, and I found it to be a fine working scrub.3
I've never really used a pre-shave before, and I used up my samples very quick and ordered this right away. Leaves your face refreshed and ready for a good shave. Really great product!!5
Do you have the time in your morning for pre-shave, shave, and post-shave lotions and such? No? Congratulations, you are like most guys who only have so much time in their morning to devote to clearing whiskers off their faces.
THAT SAID: You might want to take the time to apply this before getting that razor ready. It's a cool-mint base that smells and feels great, like you're really prepping and cleaning your face for a decent shave, without spending a ton of time.
My only caveat is to avoid pairing it with a facewash or shaving cream that's also heavily-scented (I tried this sample with another BB sample shaving cream with a similar smell/feel), or it might be a little too much of a good thing.
Also: The sample bottle's tiny red-lettered instructions are downright impossible to read, so just assume the directions are "apply to face, do not eat."
If you don't have a pre-shave routine, you're not doing it right! Pre-shaving is important for a clean, smooth, close shave. Trim, scrub, and then shave. This product will also provide excellent post-shave conditions. Get on the pre-shave wagon, boys! You won't regret it!4
This stuff will give your skin an almost unsettling "cooling" feeling. It's interesting, though, and I think results in a nice shave, since it seems to both prep the skin and exfoliate before. Worth a try for something different.4
I haven't gone completely hairless on my face in years. The only time I use a razor is to get my neck smooth and stubble free. I never use any type of pre-shave treatment before, and after using this, I'll never make that mistake again. My neck was always red and irritated after shaving. Probably because I don't use a fresh blade as often as I should. Even so, Game Day's pre-shave scrub made the process painless and left my neck the same color as the rest of my skin! bye bye red bumps~*4
