Blackheads beware: This unassuming bottle holds the key to smoother, brighter skin—in the form of scorched bamboo. Made from the eco-friendly plant, this special soot is known for absorbing impurities and clearing pores in a single wash, while salt in the formula banishes blemish-causing bacteria. Together, these two put pollutants in their rightful place: down the drain.
This is a great product to mix into your cleanser or face serum. The charcoal is really great for pores. After I used it for a week or so, my face was much clearer and my pores did not look as large. I noticed a difference when I stopped using it for awhile. It does contain sea salt so use two or three times a week because too much may dry out the skin depending on the skin type. But overall I love this product.5
But now I'm really liking it. I use this by adding it to my favorite cleanser. It really feels like I'm getting the grime off of my face. Too strong for me to use daily (and I have pretty durable/forgiving skin). If you leave it on too long you can def feel the salt-sting. I feel like it is clearing the blackheads around my nose (the only place I get them) and that it is detoxing my skin. The first few times I used it I had a few breakouts but for me that lets me know its clearing out the junk! The sample size is GREAT! I'm still using it. The full bottle will last a long time.4
This is the first dry exfoliant product I've tried & I actually like that I can add to any cleanser or use with water. I also like that it contains the charcoal for detoxing impurities. In fact, it seemed to work! (Go figure, a product that does what it says lol!) I will use up the rest of the sample and re-evaluate. So far, so good.5
I was not expecting this product to be a powder but it comes in a nice shaker which makes it very easy to add to other face washes. I can be a little more abrasive than I would like but since it is a powder you can just adjust the amount you use. I definitely feel and see a difference in my skin after use it leave my skin feeling tight as well as smooth. I plan on purchasing this again.4
This was perfect my face felt so smooth after using and it didn't feel too rough at all. I love that you apply to your own cleanser.5
I love all things natural and charcoal-based face products are among my favorites. I like how natural this product is and the way my skin feels after using it.4
Holy cow! Dry winter skin? Flakes? Bumps? Rough patches? Clogged pores? Not for long! Buckle up and put an ample pinch of this crazy grey salt in your palm with a few drops of water. Now, go to town! You'll feel like you've removed a full mask of dull, dry skin to reveal a baby's-bottom-soft visage that is only just now being exposed to the world. It can be intense, and you WILL end up with a few granules in your teeth (not sure exactly how, but EVERY time), but it's worth it. And it only tastes like salt, so no biggie. I have pretty sensitive and dry skin, and I use this scrub about once every week to ten days. Just a heads up: It leaves a charcoal residue behind that may not be overly noticeable unless you look real close at the creases of your nose. Two cotton rounds of a water-based toner or micellar water will take care of it. A good cleansing cloth will get it, too. You can add a small pinch to your regular cleanser if you find using it straight to be too harsh. I follow up with a good pure essence and an appropriate serum, then a rich moisturizer. It's like the scrub gets my skin ready to just drink up the moisture. It does wonders for my dry skin. Acne sufferers and those with blackheads and clogged pores will most likely find their complexion clearing treatments to be much more effective if applied after using the scrub. Oh, and it only takes a pinch, so the full-sized container lasts FOREVER. Woo hoo! Baby soft skin in my forties!5
Having read reviews prior to purchasing, I had really high expectations. It's a good product and my skin definitely feels cleaner. But, it hasn't dissolved dissolved any of the blackheads on my nose.3
I haven't used this much. It's super salty and tastes awful if a little seeps in between your lips3
Great but use it sparingly. Nice that you can add it into any face wash you currently have for a nice exfoliating experience but don't overdo it or you will dry your face out.3
