It’s never too late to wipe the slate clean. Make a fresh start with this anti-aging moisturizer, which works to minimize fine lines and wrinkles. Origins calls it “nature’s alternative to injections,” and they’re not exaggerating. Although it’s not an injectable, it has plenty of natural collagen boosters — including the hero ingredient mimosa — to smooth and plump skin. You can expect visible results after a few days.
Priority #1: Plentiful moisturizing that won't clog my acne-prone pores or slick my naturally oily skin. SUCCESS! It's a little heavier than its oil-free sister—which has a very feather-light texture—and I do apply it a little more sparingly in my acne danger-zones (i.e., my chin), but Starting over provides excellent long-lasting hydration and has yet to prompt any breakouts. Adult acne sufferers with moderate breakouts, fear not.
Priority #2: Prevent the proliferation of the (very) fine lines that have recently started to show around my face. SUCCESS! Along with use of a few other products (like eye cream), Starting Over has successfully smoothed and plumped nearly all of my fledgling collagen-loss lines. More importantly, it's resupplying my skin and preventing new fine lines from forming.
Priority #3: Skin texture and glow. SUCCESS! Soft, soft, soft. It's a moderate finish that takes a minute or so to fully absorb, but it leaves my skin looking and feeling like velvety porcelain. It doesn't provide the same lively pop as other skincare products, but it provides a beautifully clear surface to let make-up do its thing. And the slightly sweet Mimosa smell doesn't hurt either.
I have never spent this much money on a moisturizer but I'm starting to notice fine lines so needed to make a worthy investment. The texture is thick but does not feel heavy once it's on. You only need a small dab. The smell is pleasant. It has an instant flowing effect that leaves your skin radiant. I wouldn't say I have seen any longterm major improvement in my skin tone though. This product did not make me breakout which I usually do. Would buy again as a nighttime moisturizer so it lasts longer.4
All origins is high on my list. I think I prefer the feel of the "regular" Origins moisturizer over this one, but its consistency will be good for Winter.4
I have tried so many moisturizers... and this is the best. It's clean, smooth, and moisturizes all day. ... did I read 'mimosa' in the description. aaah.... that's why I love it.5
This moisturizer goes on smoothly and hydrates all day long. Lasts much longer than others in this price range, and reduces fine lines. It leaves my face feeling very smooth.5
This product is a great moisturizer. This is the first "anti-aging" product I have ever bought though, and at 26, I'm not sure that I've seen the "visible results" it says you will see after a few days. It has been about a month and I will definitely keep using it and perhaps the effects will be more apparent in the long term.3
I was expecting this product to be a bit lighter it was heavy for a face lotion if you have skin that breaks out easily beware.3
I use this morning and night daily. Great, smooth texture, not too perfumy, light formula absorbs well. Sometimes I mix with my liquid foundation in my palm before applying.5
This moisturizer feels so great when I put it on and my skin is radiant and supple after just a week of use. The only con is that the smell is sweet but has a hint of something that I don't love, but with these results I will get over it.4
This moisturizers feels and smells amazing! The texture is thick and creamy but feels smooth and light when applied. My skin absorbs it quickly and looks glowy and fresh, and not oily or greasy after using. I haven't noticed any improvement in my fine lines, but will continue to use this as a moisturizer.4
