In the grand scheme of things, dealing with melting eye makeup is no worse than coping with a paper cut. That said, minor annoyances can be major distractions. This beige-tinted universal primer acts like a bandage by covering up fine lines and discoloration on and around your lids. At the same time, it works to prevent shadow from creasing and fading. So, while we can’t tell you how to avoid paper cuts (if you figure it out, let us know), this minor annoyance can quickly become a thing of the past.
I absolutely love this primer I won't go back to the cheap stuff I was using before, it gave me the picture perfect finish that I've been looking for forever!! I recommend this to anyone who might be looking for something to give them a more professional, sophisticated look. I am so glad I had found this and gave it a try...5
This one always seems to dry out too fast on me... Probably halfway through use. It's ok at first. Would be so much better if they took Urban Decay's lead and switches from a bottle with a want to a squeeze tube.3
I am all about eye shadow primer. I usually use urban decay, but they don't sell that on Birchbox, and since I love the point system at Birchbox I went on a search for another one to try. I got the Smashbox one because I love Smashbox eye products. This is another win for Smashbox! Its very neutral, basically skin color, and creates the perfect base for your eyeshadow. It helps with creasing too and keeps your shadow on all day. Plus, the neutral color showcases your eyeshadow colors so well. I think I found a replacement product!5
As with all Smashbox items I own this one is great! It really does work. It is smooth and easy to apply and keeps my eyeshadow in place all day. I actually like it by itself on a day I don't need a lot of makeup.5
I love this primer. I like the fact that the color is nude so it matches my eyelid -- i don't have to use as much eye shadow to achieve the desired color and my eye shadow lasts all day and into the evening! The shadow doesn't crease and it stays in place. Also, my liquid eye lines goes on super smooth, doesn't smudge and lasts all day.5
works like it should and the eye shadow stays put. I will so though that I end up using my pinky finger to ensure proper coverage as the little brush is not best for applying evenly.4
Good size to stick in a purse and to travel with. It helps hold eyeshadow longer throughout the day. First time I have used eye primer specifically. I have tried a full face primer but this one seems great.5
I only see a small difference as a plumper when I leave it on for a while before I put lipstick on. It also burns/tingles a little. It's a nice primer but really only if I let it sit on my lips before I put lipstick on.4
I have been looking for a lid primer for awhile and do like the way this one goes on. Easy to apply. My previous primer was in s squeeze tube and would tend to separate. This one goes on nicely and keeps my shadow where I want it.4
I love this so much. I've never used lid primer before this and decided to purchase it after seeing birchbox's video tutorial on how to do a smoky bronze lid. I now incorporate this primer into my everyday makeup routine. It stays put through the day and into the evening! I also use it on its own to even out my translucent lids. Only wish it came in a bigger tube!5
