In the grand scheme of things, dealing with melting eye makeup is no worse than coping with a paper cut. That said, minor annoyances can be major distractions. This beige-tinted universal primer acts like a bandage by covering up fine lines and discoloration on and around your lids. At the same time, it works to prevent shadow from creasing and fading. So, while we can’t tell you how to avoid paper cuts (if you figure it out, let us know), this minor annoyance can quickly become a thing of the past.
This one always seems to dry out too fast on me... Probably halfway through use. It's ok at first. Would be so much better if they took Urban Decay's lead and switches from a bottle with a want to a squeeze tube.3
works like it should and the eye shadow stays put. I will so though that I end up using my pinky finger to ensure proper coverage as the little brush is not best for applying evenly.4
I absolutely love this primer I won't go back to the cheap stuff I was using before, it gave me the picture perfect finish that I've been looking for forever!! I recommend this to anyone who might be looking for something to give them a more professional, sophisticated look. I am so glad I had found this and gave it a try...5
Good size to stick in a purse and to travel with. It helps hold eyeshadow longer throughout the day. First time I have used eye primer specifically. I have tried a full face primer but this one seems great.5
I only see a small difference as a plumper when I leave it on for a while before I put lipstick on. It also burns/tingles a little. It's a nice primer but really only if I let it sit on my lips before I put lipstick on.4
I have been looking for a lid primer for awhile and do like the way this one goes on. Easy to apply. My previous primer was in s squeeze tube and would tend to separate. This one goes on nicely and keeps my shadow where I want it.4
I love this so much. I've never used lid primer before this and decided to purchase it after seeing birchbox's video tutorial on how to do a smoky bronze lid. I now incorporate this primer into my everyday makeup routine. It stays put through the day and into the evening! I also use it on its own to even out my translucent lids. Only wish it came in a bigger tube!5
Of all the primers I have tried, this is the best, by far. I have hooded lids, which can be extremely challenging. This stuff does a great job of getting my eye makeup to stay put.5
I have been using the NARS lid primer which works wonders, but I wanted a primer that is tinted to cover up my dark eyelids. However, within a few hours of applying the Smashbox primer, most of it had disappeared or creased. If you have oily and/or hooded lids like I do, pick another product.1
I have used every shadow base out there, and I always come back to this one. It's easy to use, blends well and lasts all day.5
