Even if you’re young enough to guest star on an episode of Girls, chances are you’ve noticed faint lines cropping up beneath your eyes. Whether you’re currently in twentysomething soul-searching mode or have already been there, done that, you can rely on this hydrating primer to keep the delicate area around your eyes looking smooth, even, and radiant. It has all the benefits of an eye cream, plus the added ability to keep your concealer in place, and contains moisturizing and brightening ingredients to keep emerging wrinkles, dark circles, puffiness, and age spots in check.
this is highlighting but doesn't really make you glow. I had a smashbox rep tell me it would look better applied like a highlighter on my face. It also didn't help my concealer stay on longer - I think it may have made it crease/slip off3
This is not a good primer at all. I had just been using benefit's porefessional and this does not compare. It isn't even that hydrating under my eyes. It is just a bad under-eye cream instead of a primer. Would not recommend.2
some of the pros and cons are. this did make such a big difference to notice for me. the size sample was very generous.2
I have a hard time with my under eyes since I have ALWAYS had dark under eye circles... this product works great as a base, and goes on smooth. It makes my concealor look flawless, and even looks great by itself. I will be buying again as soon as I run out!5
I usually love Smashbox products, but I wasn't a fan for this one. Maybe it's just me but I never noticed a difference when I wore this. If anything I thought it darkened my eyes even more!
This was my first attempt at under eye products so maybe it's just me and my application process. Either way I'm disappointed and frustrated.
I love this product alone or under concealer, depending on how tired my eyes are looking on any given day.
Alone, it's a light shade that helps de-puff the skin right under my eyes (like instantly!), and also lighten the area. I use it under foundation and set with powder.
Or, applied under concealer on the days I need a little more coverage, the concealer goes on more smoothly, without clumping, and it lasts all day.
I love how weightless this product feels, and that it sticks to your face without sliding. I use it around my eyes as well, to help those fine lines in the corner of my eyes for a real-life photoshopped effect.
I have dark, delicate skin under my eyes and I have a hard time covering this. I find that applying this eye primer after my moisturize has soaked in and before any concealer and foundation really works. Also, it stays put all day, which is a huge plus.4
This product is a winner in my book. I bought it at the Birchbox store in Soho and have been using it for a little over a week now. It has a soothing and brightening effect and lays the foundation for my concealer. Let me add that i have very sensitive skin and eyes, and am not at all bothered by this product.5
I have been using this product daily for four months and have been disappointed overall. I do feel that this product is nicely hydrating, but honestly that is the only positive I can offer, especially given the price. It does not keep under eye concealer, bb cream, or foundation from settling into fine lines- at all. I truly feel this product fails completely as a primer. Every type of makeup I've used over this primer has settled into the fine lines under my just about 35 year old eyes. It actually becomes difficult to even blot or wipe away the makeup after applying it, which ends up making me tug and pull on the delicate under eye area, and we all know that is a bad idea. I don't believe this product brightens in any way, it does not minimize dark circles, or puffiness. For the price, I would suggest skipping this product and just getting a good eye area moisturizer and maybe using regular Smashbox Photo Finish Primer as your under eye primer- it actually kind of works for the under eye lines.2
Love this! Goes on smooth, no clumps or streaks. Lightweight, looks great under any makeup. I really like the richness of the proudut. This will remain a mainstay in my tool box5
