Traditional healers of Indonesia weren’t messing around when they pinpointed candlenut oil as a cure for severely dry skin. The centuries-old balm is rich in fatty acids, which makes it a great natural hydrator and all-around skin-smoother. Its velvety formula, inspired by venerable Balinese recipes, penetrates deep into dry, rough skin for instant, nongreasy softness that lasts and lasts.
The first thing I must say about JUARA Candlenut Body Creme is that it smells *amazing* when you put it on. Now, as someone with environmental sensitivities and just plain old allergies, I do NOT mean that it smells amazing because it is heavily perfumed, or overly full of volatile plant oils. On the contrary, this has a much more organic, even foodie smell to it. I don't know what a candlenut is, but it smells like something you might grind up into a nut butter and smooth onto a nice warm piece of freshly-baked bread – *that's* the kind of smell this body creme exudes when you put it on! The only drawback is that after the dry-down phase, the super-edible smell dissipates a somewhat (darn!) and there is indeed a slight "perfumey" smell left. However, it smells so pleasant that I think most people will like it, and I do not seem to be sensitive to it.
Okay, so it smells good, but how does it work? There's nothing but good news on that front. Not only is JUARA Candlenut Body Creme emollient, but it absorbs incredibly fast to a completely smooth and non-greasy finish. I've actually been using it as a hand and cuticle cream, and it's the first product I've used on my hands in recent memory where I can use my iPad immediately after applying it, without leaving my screen a streaky mess!
Those with really extreme, clinically dry skin might need something more "goopy", but JUARA Candlenut Body Creme is just right for the average woman looking to moisturizer rough elbows, knees, etc., smooth legs after shaving, or keep hands soft.
I haven't really tried this yet, my hands haven't been too dry this winter. (thankfully!) However, it does smell nice.3
The smell was a little overpowering for me and not quite the scent I would go for. It has a tropical scent. It did make my skin feel soft but I feel like I could get that with another lotion with a scent better suited for me. The size of it is so tiny and you get maybe one or two uses out of the sample. Not a huge fan.2
i loved the smell and feel of this product..i love trying new creams and lotions..the sample was kind of small for it to be a body cream though..hard to use enough product when it was so small2
This body cream is heavenly and really moisturizes your skin quickly. Has a nice soft scent and your skin feels like velvet. Everyone with dry skin should use this product.5
This creme was ok. It was non greasy but did not moisturize as well as I would have liked. I had to use a lot of it just for my hands. It does smell very good.3
I was excited to receive this to give to my husband to try out on his very dry knuckles and elbows. We both really like the smell of the product, however, I think that Hempz works better and is better with moisturizing. I probably would not purchase this item, but I was happy to try it.3
This body crème is very light weight and feels soft without leaving your skin feeling like grease. Its a great product and worth the great price.4
Has a nice scent and feel to it. However, it didn't strike me as anything more amazing than my usual lotion. I did appreciate the soft scent, but for the cost don't think I will purchase.3
This cream smells delicious and is the perfect amount of moisture for my seriously dry skin! Love it and plan to buy more!5
