The quickest way to update your eye makeup? Swap your traditional black eyeliner for a rich colored one. stila’s smudge stick liners are gorgeously wearable and come in a variety of rich shades that make eyes pop. Better yet, the liners are waterproof and stay vibrant all day.
I got the Lionfish color. It's hard to tell from the itty-bitty photos on BB's site, but it's a copper color with a tiny bit of shimmer. I have green eyes that usually look brown when I wear black eyeliner. But I put this color on and my eyes looked greener than ever! It went on smoothly. I was able to apply with only one hand and my eyes open. No rubbing or tugging required. It went on as a straight line, but as the day went on, it started to smudge naturally and it looked like I was born that way, seriously. It's awesome! I don't think I'll ever wear black eyeliner again.5
These eyeliners by stila are so incredible, once you try them you'll never go back! The range of colors is awesome, I own the shades Stingray, Damsel, Spice, and Lionfish (as I prefer neutral eyes). Because these are waterproof, they are perfect for tight lining and water lining. True to the name, these will smudge within the first few seconds to create a sultry, blurred eyeliner effect if that is your preference. Plus, these last 8 months to a year with daily use. At $20, these eyeliners are so worth it!
CAUTION: The eyeliner does NOT retract so don't ever twist the whole stick up. This has been a problem for some, so I thought I would mention it.
I love this eyeliner. It stays on all day and draws on so well. I line my waterline (top and bottom) because I am rubbish with a straight line. I got damsel and the purple one. The purple one is dark, but it adds just a hint of color which is a lot of fun!5
Stila has the best eye liners, hands down. This truly is waterproof, stays on well, and the colors are really beautiful and have a little shimmer. I like the grey the best - it's great with brown eyes and eyes that are deep set and look too heavy with black! My only issue is that it's sometimes hard to create a really thin line. But I'm somewhat new to liner so maybe that will come in time :)5
I purchased Stila Smudge Stick Eye-Liner at Shoppers Drugmart outside of my neighbourhood, used it once, and then couldn't twist it up or down. I returned to this Shoppers about two weeks later and it just so happened that two Stila reps were present that day. I thought great, I am going to get great service. When the Shoppers rep directed me to these young women (who were simply having a conversation and not assisting anyone), they were anything but helpful, and made me feel like I was disturbing them. I explained the issue, and they claimed that there wasn't one, and suggested that I used it and, therefore, no eye liner was left. I was clear that I only used it once, and that even if I did use it for two weeks, it is not ok to spend that much money on an eye-liner that was only going to last two weeks. They reluctantly agreed to give me a replacement. As I walked away from these superior beings, the Shoppers rep apologized and asked me to return to the store another day. I tried the new eye-liner at home and, once again, the twist mechanism didn't work. I didn't bother returning to Shoppers - who has time for this nonsense?1
I purchased the shade in damsel (matte dark brown). This glides on super smoothly and is super pigmented with one swipe! It doesn't smudge too much either on the lower lash line. I love this and wish it was just a little cheaper.5
I received a Stila smudge stick in a palette and loved it so much that I had to buy more once it ran out. I can use this as an eyeliner and smudge it for a smoky look. It is perfect and lasts all day and does not run.5
This product is easy to work with. It smears only because I want it to. Loved the color they sent me too. Purple Tang.4
the color is really pretty and it is a refreshing change from black or brown. i am used to using a pencil or crayon so using the wet eyeliner is something i am not used to. it feels heavy even after it dries. i do not think i will wear it very often, but for special occasions, it IS really bright--exactly how it looks on line. a good special touch, still glad to have it.4
LOVE this eyeliner. I bought the purple eyeliner and it compliments my hazel eyes perfectly (I typically use brown or a navy eyeliner). Definitely a worthy purchase, only complaint is that it seemed to go rather quickly also you need to be careful with how far you twist it because it can break off even if you think it was not twisted very far.5
