We’re still waiting for the day when high-performance makeup can do double duty as delicious snack food. But surely this candy-hued cheek and lip stain is the next best thing. A hybrid of orchid and bubblegum pink, the easy-to-blend, smudge-proof formula provides a pop of cheery color that lasts all day.
As an African American woman, I feel when sampling products as such, the companies never make colors that can and/or will work on all skin tones and colors. When I applied the product to my skin, it was watery that it looked as if I had put water on. Further, the color and/tint was very faint. I could not see the color on my face. However, I did see it on my finger as I rubbed the product in using my fingers. Overall, I was simply disappointed, because the product didn't work on a darker skin tone such as mine. I assumed this was the whole point of creating a profile as to not run into problems such as the problem I just experienced!1
This it's my favorite shade. I love Benetint. I work in EMS and this stays put, pretty much my whole shift, even when I'm working on the interstate. It's not too overwhelming and looks natural. Love this! You should give it a try!5
I love this for when I want to rock a natural daytime look with a little bit of nude lip liner or just all by itself. I've tried it as a cheek stain, and maybe it was the applicator and size of the sample, but it didn't work out, just left funny blotches on my skin.4
Alright, so the color of this initially completely freaked me out. Purple on my cheeks seemed a likely disaster, but I was pleasantly surprised! Like all of Benefit's stains, this went on sheer. It didn't come across as "purple" like I feared, instead it was just a nice natural flush of color. I use it primarily on the apples of my cheeks and it stays put all day.4
I love this product. I put it on under my lip gloss everyday. I love how it brightens my lips and stays with me through the day. I don't care for it as a lip stain.5
Was super excited to try out this product, as I tend to prefer lavender/cooler pink blushes. I have found that I like better for lips than, cheeks. Too sheer on my tan skin and it does not blend well on the face.2
I revived this as sample when order thirst-five dollars or more. I loved the texture smoothed on lips like a dream. Such a beautifully pink. I loved it. I would buy big size when I am finished with my sample.4
I had to purchase this in full size immediately after sampling it. It's amazing. I would agree with other reviews that this product unfortunately will only be visible on light skin. I have light skin and it works very well for me. I also have oily acne prone skin and it does not cause breakouts! There's a learning curve with application. I do not like the way the packaging tells you to apply. The product dries on skin VERY quickly and will leave dots or streaks of not rubbed in fast. Instead of applying directly on my face, I put the product on my first two fingers and then apply to my cheeks. Yes. It does stain my fingers. But an oil based makeup remover takes
It right off my fingers. It gives the most incredible flush of color and I cannot live without it. It's very buildable too if you want brighter color. It is harder to apply on lips and I found it requires about three coats on my lips to get a visible color but it's worth it.
I love this product for my lips and my face. I don't like to wear a ton of color on my lips and this shade works perfectly. It's cute and natural and when you wear it underneath the Balm it lasts and looks great. I carry a small one in my purse if my cheeks need a little pick me up between work and going out. I highly recommend. I have a fairly light complexion with green eyes and dark hair and I find this color works great for me.5
This stain was so splotchy/patchy on my lips. It looked speckled. It is also very purple on me vs a bubblegum pink. Not my favorite. I will be giving it away.1
