im absolutely dumbfounded as to why this was picked for me... anything like this just makes my hair look like it hasn't been washed in a month.

Birchbox dropped the ball on this sample selection. This heavy oil weighted down my already fine limp hair. Ugh.

I love oils but wasn't crazy about the texture and scent of this one.

Not a sample I’m using, I have very oily hair and I don’t need to put more oil on it.

When I got this sample the lid had come almost completely off!
So on top of having an oily box & samples, I only got to use this once from what was actually left.
It's a shame because the product itself seemed to be nice the one time I got to use it... Was not happy.

I am 99% sure I’m not going to use this. I have fine hair that gets oily. There’s no way I’m going to add oil to my hair that’s prone to getting oily

I really have no idea why so many people have read it this highly. For me, the oil made my hair frizzy or frizzier ( my hair is curly, but I often street and it; I hoped this oil would help with flyaways). Even if I applied it to wet hair, my hair dried a big frizzy mess. I will continue using Redken’s Diamond oil for now.

This is not a good product. It did not do anything to make my hair less damaged as my hair was still frizzy after more than a week of use. I also started to notice that my hair was looking a little bit damp and it started to almost clump together if not brushed frequently. Then I went to my hairdresser and she said that my hair was covered in wax! She scraped some of the wax off to show me and I was so surprised. My hairdresser said that this product was making my hair appear dull and greasy when my hair should have been much more shiny. Never using this product again!

I don't know who thinks this smells "intoxicating." This was gross, like walking into a hot underground hair salon in a subway station in Europe or something. It left visible oily patches on my hair where I applied it. It didn't seem to make my hair noticeably less heat damaged, just oily. Gross. Awful product.
