Sometimes we wish we could go back in time and warn our younger selves about roasting in the sun (or worse, spending time in a tanning bed). While we’re no Marty McFly, we can still work to repair skin from past discretions, as well as shield it from future sun damage. This lightweight moisturizer from Paula’s Choice does just that: It reduces the appearance of fine lines and discoloration, repairs and firms, and protects against harmful UVA/UVB rays. Your future self can expect a beautiful, youthful glow.
After reading mixed reviews on this sunscreen, I decided to take a chance and order it anyways. I've had nothing but good experiences with Paula's Choice products in the past, so I figured why not? I'm so glad that I did! This is the ONLY facial sunscreen that I can wear daily! I would def say it's for people with an OILY SKIN TYPE! I have pretty oily skin, and most SPFs make my face 100000x oilier, well not this one! It's super mattifying yet not at all drying for me! Also, the tint wasn't a problem for me at all. I'm fair skinned, and the tint kind of looks like my foundation tone, so maybe that's why. But I'll use it under makeup on my face, and also use it on my neck and it completely soaks in and no streaks or anything. Added bonus: very light scent, if any. So you're not left with that annoying sunscreen smell all day.
If you're on the fence about this sunscreen: if you're like me and have oily skin and most sunscreens make the oil slick worse, try this out! What have you got to lose?
10/10, love this product and love Paula's Choice!
I use this in the summer when its more humid out. My face tends to sweat easily and this leaves a nice matte finish without being over drying. There is another product similar to this that is for dry skin that I'm currently using since it is winter and my skin is much dryer. Love both products!5
Two disclaimers with this review: 1) I am pregnant and my entire body including my skin is "off" 2) I started using this product right when the weather changed from warm to cool. BUT.... this is the first even moisturizer that makes my face feel dryer! Seriously, after use I end up with dry patches on my face and I need to use another product to actually provide moisture. Also, the liquid is tinted which I did not expect. It doesn't seem to leave color on my face but this was a surprise upon first use. I bought this in an effort to use more grown-up products but ultimately I will return to my regular drugstore moisturizer which has not let me down.2
I love this stuff! The tint is perfect for my skin tone! I use this as a moisturizer and a foundation because I love the coverage. It doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky or anything like some moisturizers do.5
This silky textured sunscreen goes on smoothly, and the tint blends in to my fair skin. The matte finish doesn't last long for me and I have to wear an additional matte product. I haven't used it long enough to notice any changes in fine lines and discoloration.4
This has a light tint and a slightly oat-y smell. The spf ingredient is zinc- so its' a physical sunblock rather than a chemical one. It goes on sheer and matte, so I can put it on and forget about it. I like it for the summer when I dont need a really heavy moisturizer.
I do like that it doesnt smell like a chemical sunscreen, and doesnt irritate my eyes. It does sit on my skin a little before it blends in, and I'm careful to put it on a very dry face (not sweaty or too humid).
Love this product alone and under make-up. Goes on light and smooth, and absorbs quickly. Has a sheer tint that helps even-out skin tone and makes darker spots less dramatic. Mattifies skin, making it a great choice when going bare-faced for the day; SPF is an added benefit. I wear it over my day cream because my skin is a little on the dry side. This product will not be enough for dry or very dry skin, but is still a great addition to wear over a more intense moisturizer as a finishing primer or to tame shine.5
Just ordered my third tube of this. I use an RX retinoid so SPF is really important to me. I need something that doesn't break me out, works well under makeup, and mattifies. Even though retinoids tend to dry out the skin, I still have oiliness in the T-zone. This doesn't totally mattify my T-zone, but I feel like it doesn't contribute to the oiliness. If you're looking for an SPF that moisturizes, this is probably NOT it. I usually apply another moisturizer on any dry patches I may have on my skin. Personally, I love that it has a little tint. I wouldn't say it really provides any coverage, just a small amount of "blurring" if that makes any sense. I'm very fair and the tint matches my skin well. I wear this on my face, neck, and décolletage every day.5
I should start by saying that I didn't realize that this was a tinted moisturizer when I ordered it. So I was already somewhat displeased realizing it was tinted. But that's my fault for not reading the description of the product thoroughly. Though I think it should be labeled a bit more clearly that it's tinted.
I am fairly pale and the tint totally washes me out. I have no idea how this is one shade fits all if it makes me look pale. It is also really drying. After applying my face doesn't feel moisturizer at all but rather dry and cakey. Totally disappointed in this product.
I wear this everyday. Perfect for sun protection, hydration, and covering up mild redness and imperfection. Mostly non-greasy, though I require some blotting at the end of a long day.4
