This is an amazing buy! I loved everything in it! The nail polish is AMAZING!! And I really enjoyed the mascara! Buy this! You wont be sorry!1
Thought if give this box a try and I wasn't disappointed. Nice full sized products in colors I love. The Mascara was a bit much for me, I already have very full lashes.1
I was really disappointed in this eyeshadow. I thought it was going to go on smoothly, but it looks like my eyelids are covered with glitter.1
The concept of drugstore "finds" is a fine idea. For instance, Walgreens carries a dry shampoo that comes in several colors, the brand is Batiste and it's awesome and cheap - would have been a great candidate for a "find". But.....Biore? Sally Hansen? John Frieda Frizz Ease which has been around for 20 years? Birchbox just completely failed in the execution of this....what's in the next BB "finds" box....St. Ives Apricot Scrub?1
The Lash Blast mascara is waterproof--which is great because I'm not sure if it's supposed to be. It's great if you don't like to put on mascara or other makeup every day but still want to look a little put together. I put it on for the first time three weeks ago, and I just reapplied today. It's impossible to remove, I've tried multiple different makeup removers and nothing works. If you want something you'll seldom have to apply, this is perfect for you.2
I LOVE the Biore activated charcoal mask - it heats up and has a nice exfoliating texture as you rub it in.
Mascara is OK... I use this in my travel bag, it's not good enough to make it into my full-time rotation.
Nail polish is cute color and really does stay on forever!
Lip balm is very nice - keeps my chapped lips smooth, goes on nicely and isn't sticky.
Cream eyeshadow - YUCK! Only used once, made my eyelids feel slimy and went right into the creases. I'll stick with powder.
The hair oil was really bad news for my frizzy, curly mop. It just made it look greasy and didn't cut down on the frizz at all. This is more of a finishing product for straightened, dry hair as far as I could tell. I ended up having to put my hair up in a ponytail, it looked so greasy down.
I'll start with the great: the serum, the coral lip balm, the charcoal strips... love these! The mascara is in the middle. But, I'm NOT a fan of the eye shadow cream at all. The nail polish is OK. So there are some lovely products that I will purchase again... thanks :)3
this box is AWESOME!!! except the only products I don't think I will use regularly are the sparkly lip color (i prefer matte) and the sparkling cream eye shadow (tends to clump and again, sparkles seem too young for me)3
The box had an enormous amount of products but unfortunately I found most of them lackluster. Definitely a good deal if you're looking at pure value though.3
This review has to come from my wife, I bought the box for her, to get an idea of what Birchbox has to offer.
Charcoal mask was very very nice, when you apply it, the ointment heats up to your skin. It was awesome. Leaves the skin very smooth we will be purchasing that specific product soon.
The Mascara went on well, but when it dried it got clumpy and sticky. She would close her eyes and the mascara would stick so much it was hard for her to open her eyes. Mascara does not remove very easily either.
Lipgloss and everything else was pretty okay. .
