Let’s face it: Spending hours at the drugstore, navigating aisles of beauty products underneath florescent lighting, is about as much fun as a root canal. Well we’ve done the digging for you and pulled together this collection of the absolute best and newest affordable beauty finds around. From a high-shine hair oil to a shimmery cream shadow, these picks are routine game-changers—try them on for size, and see what all the fuss is about. A $55 value!
Loved the mascara. Not goopy. The large fat size is a bit awkward though. The Nutragena lip gloss is a nice color and leaves the lips soft. Good for a ChapStick. I often use the Burt's bees version. The other lip gloss was VERY pretty... But last about a half hour. My daughter stole it from me ;) she loves it. The eye shadow is fun. No aplicater is awkward. The sparkle is nice. The mask smells bad. But the warmth and tingle are nice. Not my favorite. The nail polish is fun. Takes a long time to dry. Stays on well though.4
Pleasantly surprised with the picks in this box. I'm 36 so was sceptical of the drugstore brand finds but this has a decent mascara, biore mask, light pink nail polish and lip color that I can wear. Don't listen to those who say it's "too young" if they haven't bought it. Got mine with my birchbox points and couldn't be happier with it!4
This is totally money well spent! I will use every single item in this box and the value is double what I paid! I'm ordering a second one to give as a gift and I highly recommend it to anyone who's on the fence about buying it.5
This is a wonderful selection of drugstore brands, which are perfect for the budget conscious, as well as for teens or those who aren't cosmetic junkies. There are two products (Biore individual masques & John Frieda Frizz-ease Argan Oil) that are shareable with your spouse, partner or roommate. The Nivea Care & Color lip moisturizer is really nice - especially in this brutal weather. The four cosmetics selections are perfect for those who love sparkly, and/or pink palettes.5
I was super excited to receive this box - what a lovely surprise! I truly enjoyed all of the different products combined in to one box. In a word - AWESOME!5
First off, this box is packed to the brim and heavy! So that makes unboxing all the more exciting!!
I've been trying everything and am happy with it all. They really are drugstore gems.
I received Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in the color Pink a Card. The brush is a neat flat and wider-than-normal shape. The polish goes on smooth and really does finish like a gel nail.
Bioré's Self Heating One Minute Mask was shockingly (in a good way) warm. I wasn't sure what to expect, and was pleased that it was a very gentle exfoliant and the warmth was a fun bonus.
Both of the lip products are fantastic. I'm not a glittery lip gloss fan, but the Rimmel London's Stay Glossy 3D Lipgloss is such a pretty color, and the sparkles are subtle enough to work for me. Nivea's Kiss of Care and Color is a perfect Chapstick type product with a "kiss" of color.
I can't wait for the next Birchbox Finds box!!
This was a great treat... I Just started birchbox in January and I'm addicted! The mascara is awesome. The mask wasn't bad but it isn't my go to mask. I prefer glamglow masks. The 3D shimmer is beautiful and the nail polish will be my go to spring shade.4
I purchased this limited edition box to try the drug store items included. LOVE LOVE LOVE the nivea lip balm, even though the color (caramel) was outside my comfort zone. The color creates a fantastic nude lip look without drying, and actually feels really silky on my lips. The mascara wasn't my fave because it seems like a gimmick to get you to apply two coats of mascara, and it flaked pretty quickly after applying. I received pink nail polish, which again isn't my favorite, but it'll be cute for spring pedicures. I'm looking forward to trying the face mask and the hair oil. I think the one loss from the box was the metallic eyeshadow in silver. I have blue eyes, and the eye shadow just made me look tired and washed out. I'm also not a fan of metallic eyeshadows. Overall, the box was a pretty fair value for the price, and I discovered a new inexpensive favorite, a couple of new colors I'd never have bought at the store, and a product to avoid.4
This box was a nice assortment of products to have on hand for spring and warmer weather. The mascara is great but I am not a fan of the two step application process. Then again< I'm not a mascara maven. I received a lovely pale pink polish. The tinted lip balm is red but very subtle. Overall some nice additions to my stash.4
I was so happy to receive this box. Well worth the $18 Birchbox is charging as the products inside add up to almost a $60 value. Products themselves are great. Some I must admit I've tried before but others were a first. Colors were right on for my preferences.5
