You’re a woman who knows what you want—and you’ve got your eyes peeled for a rich, full fragrance that’s made for a night out, but brings a little something special when worn as a daytime scent. Well, seek and ye shall find. In L’eau de Opale, floral notes blend seamlessly with earthy bottom notes for a result that’s equal parts classic and romantic, with a hint of mystery.
I'm not the biggest fan of floral notes, personally, but I'm not going to dock a perfume review because I don't like the scent.
At first this scent is quite overpowering. When I first sprayed it, I remarked to my husband that it smells like something my second grade teacher would have worn. While I don't like floral notes, as I said, I don't find this one particularly offensive. There are definitely floral scents I dislike more.
This perfume is fairly versatile. It is light enough for daily wear but sophisticated enough to wear on a fancy night out. The wear time on me was average.
If you're looking for a sweet, younger scent, this isn't the perfume for you. However, if you're after a light mature scent, definitely give this a go!
