You’re a woman who knows what you want—and you’ve got your eyes peeled for a rich, full fragrance that’s made for a night out, but brings a little something special when worn as a daytime scent. Well, seek and ye shall find. In L’eau de Opale, floral notes blend seamlessly with earthy bottom notes for a result that’s equal parts classic and romantic, with a hint of mystery.
When I first smelled the sample I wrote it off as too floral for me, but there are some deeper under notes to it which keep it from being too sweet. I have found it lasts well without being too heavy, and I feel in love enough ton order a full bottle (to date there are only two perfumes that I have liked enough in the last five years to buy a full bottle, so that's a big deal for me).
5Very light and pretty; nice for spring. Smells sweet at first, but the earthy notes keep it from being too sweet or floral. Bought full size after my two college-age daughters used up my sample, so it is not an "old lady" perfume. Scent is not about age but which type of scent appeals to you.
5I am not a fan of fragrances, I am more of a scented lotion girl. That being said, when this sample arrived in my box I was surprised how much I loved the scent. It was very light and flowery, with a hint of vanilla. The scent also isn't too overpowering so a couple of spritzes was all that was needed. The simplicity of the fragrance is also versatile enough to wear on all occasions.
