You’re a woman who knows what you want—and you’ve got your eyes peeled for a rich, full fragrance that’s made for a night out, but brings a little something special when worn as a daytime scent. Well, seek and ye shall find. In L’eau de Opale, floral notes blend seamlessly with earthy bottom notes for a result that’s equal parts classic and romantic, with a hint of mystery.
This took a little while to grow on me. Initially it was a big no. It was a heavy scent and a what I thought was a definite old lady smell. After a while it mellowed out and I enjoyed it a little more. It's also a perfume that you really only need a small amount to get you through the whole day.
3When I first sprayed this on my wrists I thought I was going to smell like an old grandma for the whole day. But very shortly thereafter the smell changed and I loved it. You can tell it is high quality perfume because whenever I wear it, I can continue to smell it all day long without reapplying (not because it's strong smelling, but because it changes with your body throughout the day so your nose doesn't get used to it). I love this stuff. Perfume is a personal thing though - but I would definitely say give it a chance before judging it.
4It's lovely as long as you don't make the mistake of accidentally overdoing it, which is very easy to do. A little goes a long way, because even then it's pretty overpowering, in my opinion. Heaven forbid you unwittingly put on too much and are stuck in a car for more than 30 seconds.
