Nail Rock

Nail art will always have its place, but a new twist on this that we’re digging is the idea of nail architecture. Thanks to celeb nail artist and Nail Rock founder Zoe Pocock, we can build gorgeous nail looks with the likes of glitter, sequins, and other fancy add-ons.

Good idea, poorly executed.

I had the red glitter set. I was looking forward to trying the circular beads (caviar nail style), but didn't know how impractical this was. I followed directions and the glitter still wore off in a few days and looked horrible. This ultimately looks pretty tacky and if there was a flat coat for it, it might be something I'd consider trying again... I'd never pay for it though

glitter came of the next day

The polish itself was a beautiful color but the manicure looked terrible the next day. I was seriously disappointed by this product.

Glitter lost its color

I was given the blue set in my Birchbox. At first, I really loved it. It was very easy to apply - it even came with little instructions. It did get a little messy with the glitter pot but that did not deter me. My nails really looked fantastic - for about a day or two. After that the glitter started losing it's color. It just turned silver so instead of the fantastic all blue, I had a mix of silver and blue. It was pretty difficult to come off as well.

Velvet nails are a no-go

I got this product in my January BB. I get acrylic nails, so I passed it to a friend that does her nails religiously with new trends and styles. She tried it and did not care for the velvet add-ons at all. We both decided that glitter or sequins may definitely be the way to go if you're going for texture. The velvet felt very weird on her nails and looked like the polish had a smudged look instead of a polished and put together look.

Not a fan

I received the green glitter and I must say that I'm not a fan. It's difficult to apply, rubs off easily, and I will not use it again unless it's part of a Halloween costume.

Would give 0 stars

The glitter pieces are HUGE and start falling off the next day. I painted my nail grey underneath the green glitter so it didn't look as bad as it was coming off all over my house the next days.

Messy, Flaked off Quickly

I received this sample in the green glitter color. I liked the idea of it, but it was really messy to use. I only painted one nail to try it out and that was enough to get glitter all over my kitchen floor. The glitter on the nail didn't last long either. By the end of the day all the glitter had fallen off. It might be neat for one night out, but the glitter didn't seem to stay on much longer than that. I did not put a top coat on. Maybe that would have made the glitter last longer?

Eh

This was difficult to put on and would wash away as soon as I washed my hands. I like the color (navy blue) but would not recommend it.

Just go to a craft store

This is the worst. And I stupidly bought a mystery box that ended up having them, so I now have three useless Nail Rocks instead of one, when zero would be best. First off, there's no need to buy anything special. This is clear nail polish and craft store glitter. Second, it's clearly designed for girls who have never had to lift a finger for themselves in their lives. You will end up with bits of glitter in your food, on your clean plates, on your floor, stuck in your computer keyboard...EVERYWHERE. It's disgusting. And the instructions that tell you to dip your nails in will leave you absolutely covered and bumpy. Maybe you could make something look decent by just sprinkling a couple pieces on top of colored nails, but honestly, I don't have much faith. This is an utter waste of money and time, and it's a lie that it comes off with regular nail polish remover.

messy

This product was very messy, glad I tried the sample before I bought for full price. I think there could be a way to make it a little more user friendly.
