I got the red glitter sample of this and immediately did my nails with it. The instructions were easy to follow and the results looked fantastic. I didn't find this messy at all ... I have a tray that I use when I paint my nails and for this I just put a paper plate in the tray to catch any stray glitter (which also allowed me to pour the small amount back into the pot). Also, I actually think that this would be a good thing for girls who don't have that steady of a hand because your actual polish doesn't need to look perfect because you're covering it up with glitter. I put a good top coat on this (I think it was Seche Vite - but any good top coat would work) as soon as I was done with applying all of the glitter and I had no issues AT ALL with the glitter flaking off or anything and it lasted for almost a entire week. The removal was even a bit less difficult than regular glitter polish (my trick for that is to use a textured cotton pad instead of a cotton ball). The second time that I used this I decided to try something a bit different and I let the red polish dry completely and then painted just the tips of my nails with top coat and then dipped them, so that the glitter was only on the top 1/3 of my nail. This worked out well too and it was a really cool looking effect, plus I didn't use as much glitter.
The only negative thing that I could say about this is that I wish it came in more colors - I'm going to try the blue but I would LOVE to see this in black ... Also in purple and a gunmetal dark silvery gray color. A rainbow kit would be amazing as well - with Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, and Green. I love doing my nails in a rainbow with each nail a different color and it would be super fantastic with this glitter finish.
