Nail art will always have its place, but a new twist on this that we’re digging is the idea of nail architecture. Thanks to celeb nail artist and Nail Rock founder Zoe Pocock, we can build gorgeous nail looks with the likes of glitter, sequins, and other fancy add-ons.
Received the green sequin, probably will give it away. Green shiny nails just aren't for me. Sure the product would be nice for someone else.1
I totally love the idea of this, but it was really messy. I am a nail polish novice so perhaps for someone with more experience would have an easier time. I did use an old makeup brush I was willing to throw away to help, and that did help. It did look cute after I was done.4
I was excited when I opened my birchbox that this was a full size sample, pretty cool idea. I just am really not a glitter fan and I recieved the red with red glitter. The glitter is very fine and looks kind of cheap. I also think I'm going to make a mess using it because I'm supposed to dip the backs of my fingers into a small pot? I can't imagine how hard it would be to do that after you've used half the jar. I'll probably end up giving the glitter a try as an accent nail. The polish itself is a bright vibrant color and I love a good red.3
Cute idea, but a little too teen for me. I received the sequin sample, and though they were pretty colors, I was disappointed that the polish was clear as opposed to a color like other samples. I would rather use a polish that has glitter already in it - the sequins leaves your nail surface uneven and it catches on things. I will say I got compliments on the sparkle though!2
This product looks really awesome when applied, but chips easily and needs to be reapplied frequently.2
So easy, not very messy, unique, chic, I CAN'T EVEN STOP GOING ON ABOUT IT. I love this so much. I received the blue velvet and currently have it on my nails as an accent to a shimmery gold and navy mani. So nice.5
I received the navy velvet set in Jan 2014 box. I do love the shade of the polish and I will definitely be using on its own but I thought velvet nails were a thing of the past. I love creating an accent but I usually go for glitter or creating a simple design like dots or stripes.4
This nail polish is fun and takes a little longer than others to do. I would rather have a traditional solid color nail polish. But there is nothing wrong with this nail polish. If you like fun pretty nail polish this is for you3
This is the first birchbox product i have ever received that I truely LOVE. I sampled the red glitter and it is awesome - it looks like the ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz on my fingers. I typically wear matte glitter polishes and I was wary of using normal polish and dipping my fingers into glitter but the end result is really striking with a high impact. I can't stop staring at my nails. I think I will be purchasing one of the velvet colors in the future. Recommend this highly if you enjoy having statement nails that don't take a lot of work to put together.5
this is a cool idea and I like the way it looks on my nails it is just a messy application3
