Nail art will always have its place, but a new twist on this that we’re digging is the idea of nail architecture. Thanks to celeb nail artist and Nail Rock founder Zoe Pocock, we can build gorgeous nail looks with the likes of glitter, sequins, and other fancy add-ons.
When I first got this in my birchbox I thought it would be amazing because I love a sparkle on my nails. I am a nail polish guru and absolutely hated this product! Despite being extra careful and following directions exactly, the glitter still got everywhere and did not stay on the nail neatly. I would recommend a polish with sparkle already in it as this dip process did not work seamlessly.
1SO messy. I tried using my sample twice, just to make sure the smudgy mess I created the first time wasn't a fluke. The glitter gets everywhere and comes off so quickly. I had flashbacks to middle school nail polish nightmares. Probably very fun for little kids, not for a working adult. Sorry Birchbox... this wasn't a home run for me.
1I like the idea of this polish. It is non traditional from regular polishes and definitely grabs the eye. I received this in green and applied as the directions tell you to. It looks good for about the first hour after you do it but it almost immediately started chipping off the tips of my nails. Also even after applying multiple top coats the rough texture of the glitter could still be felt and would constantly snag on fabrics. If you have the patience you can apply one piece of glitter at a time to your nail, but that can be very time consuming.
