Nail art will always have its place, but a new twist on this that we’re digging is the idea of nail architecture. Thanks to celeb nail artist and Nail Rock founder Zoe Pocock, we can build gorgeous nail looks with the likes of glitter, sequins, and other fancy add-ons.
I received the navy velvet sample of this product. I was very pleased with the size of the sample, however I felt the velvet texture wore off throughout the period of a few days.3
I received the green glitter option as a sample in my Birchbox, and while I think the idea is cool, this product didn't really work for me. The large size of the glitter flecks paired with the vibrant green color was a bit gaudy for my taste, but I figured maybe I could make it work if I just tried the product on one nail as an accent. Unfortunately, the glitter began flaking off as soon as I started using my hands (if not before), and within an hour there wasn't much left on my nail...although it was all over everything else in my immediate area. I think maybe some of the finer glitter options would have less of an issue with this, but I'm not sure. I am, however, intrigued by the velvet-looking version of this polish...seems like something a bit more subtle, yet still interesting and different, that I would consider trying!2
I was not thrilled with the color I got. However, after multiple coats it did get better, but I hardly have the time to put on multiple coats each time. Also, the glitter is pretty, but it is messy and I end up with glitter everywhere!!2
It's very messy at first, you should have a cotton swab to get all the excess product around you finger. Even with all that, the end result is very pretty.3
I was not impressed with this product. I can see the appeal in concept. But in reality it is messy and it felt cheap. I would not recommend this product. The loose glitter got everywhere and when applied stuck in weird angles. I fussed with this product more than I would have liked to.1
Tried this nail polish a few times trying to get it right. The base is of course easy enough apply. The glitter would initially stick to the base and after letting dry for quite some time, the glitter only stayed on for a very short time.
I was really excited to receive this product, but I was a little disappointed. The first day, the glitter wore well. The look was nice, but I was afraid that the glitter would fall off. By day 2, there was glitter everywhere except on my nails.3
This product experience was a total hot mess. I wasn't too keen on the velvet idea and would have preferred glitter any day, but we tried it anyway. My daughters are 12 & 14 and they love any kind of nail art.
We followed the directions, but made a massive mess in the process and ended up with velvet flocks everywhere. I really think that instead of having the velvet in a tub, it should be in some sort of a tube or application pen. Or, it should come with some sort of tongs to apply it with instead of using your other hand of freshly painted nails.
I received the "caviar" for a monthly sample and was super excited to try it. I did not find it difficult to use unlike other reviewers.. I actually thought it was pretty straight forward. It even looked pretty darn good. BUT... this did not usually last for more than 20 minutes before the balls/"caviar" started falling off leaving chunks of "caviar" missing, looking really ghetto rather quickly. My friend received the velvet one which was awesome. I really want to try the glitter one. Hopefully it'll have more staying power.2
The glitter was really messy and came off pretty easily. This is a good concept, but not very doable. While I really do like the color, the glitter was quickly added to my school craft box.3
