Most fashion bloggers report on trends, but Gala Gonzalez is shaping them—starting from the hands up. This spring, the Spanish-born blogger, stylist, and DJ teamed up with Color Club to launch this four-piece nail polish collection. Gold Struck is an understated, soft gold thats subtle enough for daytime wear. Breakfast At... is an emerald pearl that bears a striking resemblance to a certain iconic jewelry box. Aquamarine Azulino is a pearly sky blue with a hint of shimmer, and Heirloom Pearls is an opulent off-white. All four on-trend shades have a luxe pearl finish—for a mani that's both modern and sleek.
I sampled the "Aquamarine Azulino" blue color and LOVE it!! It has a beautiful pearly light blue color, so cute I might have to buy this set!!5
Not a fan of the finish and it was hard to apply compared to other brands like OPI/FPs. Showed every error. Pearl finish was a bit 1990s for me...reminded me of when I used to paint my entire finger as a kid LOL2
And I'm not the only one. I found this in my nail salon too! I ended up getting a red color in my birchbox. I LOVE red. It made my nails look like rubies- gems indeed. Color stayed on great and I really liked the look. I especially liked it when I saw the color in the nail salon too.5
Really love this polish, goes on smooth and only had to do one coat ! Absolutely love the color, can wear with anything !4
The shades included in this package are nice colors. The polish itself isn't a favorite of mine. I prefer a more quickly drying and easier to apply formula. This formula shows lines and smudges very easily.4
I got the Nail Art pen and striper in white, I'm assuming for doing designs and french manicures. The idea of the pen and striper is pretty cool, and if I had the patience and the steadiness of hand required to design something, it would probably work really well. But alas! My nail designing skills are a -3 on a scale of 1 to 10. If you're not artistic, don't get the pen and striper. You will be very frustrated!3
The color I got was nice but you do need up to 3 coats but overall a great nail polish4
I did not receive a polish from the gem collection. Instead I got a very neon pink. While it is not a color I would usually wear I loved the consistency and pretty much everything else about it but the color.5
I got a glittery gold top coat. I'm not a huge on having glitter on my nails, so I gave it to my mom who's all about that. She liked it, and it looked great on her nails.4
I received this polish right before a vacation in the Dominican Public. the glitter in the polish was excellent quality with different hues that could be seen depending on the reflection of the light. Also, the color itself changed from gold to ruby red with temperature changes! I loved it!5
