This mask isn't your typical clay, gel, or cream mask - it's an all-natural combination of antioxidant-rich ingredients that you're more likely to find at Whole Foods than in a skincare product. But it makes sense that what's good for you to eat is also good for your skin. After I use this, my skin has a lovely glow, and it feels clean and refreshed but not in the unpleasant, stripping-of-moisture way.
You have to approach the texture with a sense of humor: it's not pretty. It's green and there are larger bits of ingredients in it, and it smells quite strongly of rosemary (if you can't handle herbal scents, you won't be able to tolerate this). I personally love the smell.
After about 20 minutes, it dries down (but not in your typical clay mask sense), and then you must use warm water to wash the mask off thoroughly. Those larger bits I spoke of earlier come in handy here because they act as a gentle physical exfoliant. It's true that the mask takes some effort to get off because it sticks quite well, but to me it's not problematic.
If you want to try something truly different AND effective (and without any nasty, pore-clogging ingredients!), I highly recommend this mask!
