Let me start off by saying i just turned 30, i am married & a stay at home mommy of 2 sweet precious girls. My one daughter is 4 and a half, non verbal & autistic.. Her younger sister just turned 7 months. So i am ALwAYS on the go between preschool, many many therapies and life in general! There isn't enough time in the day for me to have a few minutes to apply. I have so many other things to get done before this even pops up in my mind!
I always was scared of self tanners. I was the girl in high school that went to the tanning salon and or layed out way too often in the sun every other day. Once i graduated i didn't want to go anymore as i didn't want to put my body through all of that. I grew out of that. Funny how it isn't really a thing anymore. Kids these days are much smarter and aware of what they do to/put in their bodies. I also wasn't one to take the plunge and opt for a real dark ST that scared the crap out of me.
If you are someone that simply wants a pick me up or you want a nice sunkissed subtle tan this is absolutely perfect! Imo it is goof proof! I use a mitt and it takes almost zero effort to apply. NO SMELL. so you don't have to worry about smelling like corn chips as it starts to develop (HA!) If there is a faint smell during the developing stage it honestly is so light compared to others put onnthe market.
For those pain in the butt areas such as elbows, hands/fingers, knee caps etc. I use a makeup brush and after i apply i lightly dampen the brush and blend, blend, blend!! It comes out looking way more natural and you don't have to be surprised seeing a darker shade in those areas when you look in the mirror
Especially for me in the winter i have awful dry skin on my hands. They crack snd bleed so any type of self tanner looks horrific! Because i use a great hand moisturizer, also a steroid cream, the makeup brush i use does not cause any further problems.
For my face i apply my moisturizer prior to the tanner. I use my brush for my face and again, blend, blend, blend! After i am done i lightly dampen the brush and go around one last time.
My everyday makeup is either none or a 'no makeup makeup look' which for me is a little bit of concealer, little mascara and chap stick ( some times natural looking lip balm/stain.) No foundation so i need my face to always have a little color and look even.... And it is perfect!!
You wont go wrong! It's great for all year around. I just got done applying a few minutes ago. You will look like an angel sunkissed you! If you are on the fence about it....dont be! It is worth every penny.
