Birchbox Breakdown

We don’t want anything altering our hair color (until the next time we head to the salon, of course)—and with this creamy mask, we can hold onto our hue for longer. The treatment locks in color while boosting shine. Using it for just a few minutes once a week can mean fewer touch-ups: We only hope our stylist still recognizes us when we decide it’s time for a new shade.

How to Use

Once a week, work a generous amount evenly through damp hair. Wait two to five minutes (and get in a little karaoke practice), then rinse.

Water/EAU, Stearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Cetyl Alcohol, Silicone Quaternium-25, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Fragrance/Parfum, Divinyldimethicone/Dimethicone Copolymer, Bis-PEG-4 Dimethicone, C12-13 Pareth-3, C12-13 Pareth-23, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Yellow 5, Red 33.

Just okay

I've used this once, and I'm not overly impressed and certainly won't be purchasing it. I have fine, long, color-treated hair that tangles easily; so I'm always on the lookout for a good deep conditioner that won't weigh down my hair. This barely passed, and by the end of the day, I my hair looked a little bit dirty. I was careful to rinse out all of the product too. I did find a really inexpensive, high end (odd, right?) deep conditioner that I would buy by the gallon if they sold it in that size. I don't think I can say the brand or product name in this review though.

Lifesaver for my hair

I absolutely LOVE this mask! My thick, extremely curly hair tends to be dry/dry out very easily anyway, and coloring it just makes it worse. Before trying this mask, it would take me about a week of deep conditioning to get my hair back in decent shape after coloring. However, one or two uses of this and my hair is soft, moisturized and conditioned again. Doesn't take much, either. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

I'm not sure about the actual effect it has on keeping color lasting but it did make my hair feel silky smooth.

Awesome nutrition for color treated hair

I bought this at a department store but will likely buy it here because I adore it so much and usually get my shampoo and conditioner here already. It does what it promises and more-I do non-natural colorants so since my hair has to be stripped to apply the color properly, so I put my hair through a lot. I use this once every 2 weeks and that's plenty to keep my hair silky soft and glossy-looking in spite of what I do to it. Worth. Every. Penny.

I really like this hair mask. I use it once a week and it keeps my hair really soft. I color my hair and feel like this stuff has helped the color last longer. I never feel like anything is getting stripped out when I rinse. While it helps my hair feel really soft, it doesn't do much to detangle it. Also, I still get little frizzy. I would recommend trying this stuff though.
