Histoires de Parfums

Birchbox Breakdown

Jules Verne may have been the father of science fiction, but this fresh, marine-inspired scent pays tribute to more of-this-world destinations, like Nantes, the seaside port town where Verne was born. And like Verne’s Around the World in Eighty Days, this is a cologne that’s on the go, evolving from pine-y to peppery, minty to musky.

How it Works

This ever-changing scent has top notes of grapefruit, tangerine, and eucalyptus and heart notes of Madagascar black pepper and Indonesian nutmeg. Pine, cedar, incense, and vetiver form a woodsy base.

How to Use

A spritz or two to the pulse points on your wrists and neck will do.

Denat. Alcohol 96° (infected with 5g of phtalate ethyle per liter), éthanol, diethyl phtalate, Water, Fragrance (Limonene, Linalool, Citronellol, Coumarin, Citral, Eugenol, Isoeugenol, Geraniol)

Lighter, citrius scented colonge

Loved the sample of their other scent I received in my birchbox and ended up buying both. Two very different scents for different occasions.

This scent:

Top Note: Grapefruit, Citrus, Tangerine, Eucalyptus
Heart Note: Nutmeg, Pepper
Base Note: Cedar, Incense, Vetiver, Pine cone

Originality: spices, wood, aromatic herbs representing Jules Verne - world traveler. A group of olfactive scents assembled from trips all around the globe.
(Madagascar black pepper, Indonesian nutmeg…)

Moods: energizing, dazzling, bright, timeless.
