When we teamed up with NYC-based fashion label RUFFIAN to launch their first nail lacquer collection, we knew just who could help us choose the three high-style shades to feature in this exclusive collection: you. We asked for your color votes, and the results flooded in. This set of super-luxe polishes is fashion forward with a dash of daring—just how we like it. The high-gloss formula is also chip-resistant, so your mani will stay put for days. Now that’s what we call a team effort, and a gorgeous one at that.
I always love getting nail polish in my boxes. I really like Ruffian. I find that the polishes go on easily and the colors are on trend. The polish does a great job of staying on my toes, but wears off my hands fairly quickly (average when compared to other brands).4
I received the burnt orange color, really not my taste but I figured it my look ok on my toes. It clumped on the brush and it was like painting my nails with glue. I had to toss it.1
I really am impressed with this nail polish, the color is bright and dries fast. I am wearing the orangish color, can't wait to try the purple!5
This nail Polish does dry well, except mine tended to bubble more than others in warming conditions. The green color isn't very flattering on light to medium skin tones even though I like the color on the bottle.3
I received this polish a few months ago in my birchbox, I don't wear polish and just got around to putting it on (the green color) for St. Patricks day. I did only put one coat on, but it is really starting to wear off after 2 days now. The color I received is really not for me either. Although it did seem to dry quickly, I want to try in a different color but the green color is to "partyish" to wear outside of a fun holiday.2
I really love this nail polish. It goes on great and very consistent. You only need 2 cotes for an even color. It drys quickly too!4
I love all three of these colors. I was a little hesitant about the orange at first, but it looks great once it's on! I have light skin, and I thought all three colors complemented my skin tone nicely. The one, small complaint is that the color doesn't last long for me if I don't use a top coat. I think this is more due to my lifestyle though and not the paint itself. I work at a computer all day, so my nails take a beating at work. Also, I don't have dishwasher, so hand-washing dishes every night takes a toll on the polish as well.4
These look so pretty. Bought these for my super trendy 20something cousin for her birthday. She love loved them and is already wearing them out.5
when I got this color in my birchbox, I wasn't sure how to feel about the color orange. I figured since it was around Halloween, that orange wouldn't be a bad choice to paint my fingers & toes. this color completely took me by surprise - it is so beautiful on the nails! I was highly impressed with this nail polish lines, especially since the nail polish itself DID NOT CHIP for 2 weeks. at all! way to go Ruffian!5
I love painting my nails, but this green color is super unflattering with my skin tone - which is fair, but not pale. I have olive-tones in my complexion, and this nail polish made my hands look like they were tinted green.
Also, the brush was not a smooth applicator.
