Holding up your pants with your thumbs just doesn’t cut it once you’ve graduated from straw hats and cleaning your teeth with a piece of wheat. And frankly, neither does that single plain brown leather belt you’ve owned since fifth grade. As with neckties, your belt game demands both quality and variety. This simple, two-tone textured solution is the perfect place to start when you’re ready to get serious about building out your closet’s belt lineup.
Have a couple woven belts, this one adds some nice color variety. Decently made and the colors look nice in person.
So I think my box got mixed up in the mail, and instead they sent me Shaq's birchbox. All kidding aside, this belt is enormous. I'm about a 35" waist, and this thing literally wraps around 1.5 times and looks a little ridiculous. It's also super thin, and feels a little feminine. I'd give it to my wife, but she would have to wrap it around herself twice...sorry, this belt just isn't for me. I've never considered belts to be a "one size fits all" item.
I thought the belt looked and worked great, but the "one size fits all" aspect harms rather than helps this product. I'm not a thin guy, but even then there was still a lot of excess belt after fastening it. I think it would be better if there were sizes to fit people individually.
Don't get wrong. There's nothing wrong with the belt, It's a woven fabric belt that seems cheaply made. The same belt could be purchased for less than half the cost somewhere else. Faux leather and decent braid. It's an 8 dollar belt at best.
I was really jazzed to get this in the April Birchbox, but I prefer belts with more width and made out of leather. Obviously this was a wonderful addition to my wardrobe, but I doubt I will ever find myself in a situation where something this casual will work for me. I guess I just lack vision and imagination.
I understand that this is a one size fits all belt but, man, the length on it is ridiculous
What an awesome surprise with my first birchbox. A very stylish belt that i was not expecting at all!
First, I need to preface this by saying I ordered this box for my husband. He took one look at the belt and raised a derisive eyebrow at me. It was the "I don't think so" expression. Sigh. Personally, I thought it was a great item in the box and high quality but if the belt doesn't look heavy metal, then my husband isn't wearing it. That's what I get for marrying a musician. Alas, I will be giving this belt away.
It's just not my style. I mostly wear leather belts and besides, I'm not the "tuck it in" kind of guy usually.
I might not be "current" or something, however, this belt is odd for me in many ways. First of all, it looks incredibly cheap. Second, I don't see how this is "current" anywhere other than SoHo (certainly not in Dallas). Finally, I don't know how (based on my profile) this was even sent to me. Weird item, Birchbox...
