Cupcakes, who? Three Tarts founder Marla D’Urso thinks those treats have had their day and it’s time for a new sweet obsession: marshmallows. We don’t need a lot of convincing. We’re suckers for the pillowy confections—even grocery store varieties will do in a pinch—and these small-batch puffs are no ordinary marshmallows. D’Urso and her co-bakers craft their haute squares to be perfectly squishy, with a smooth texture and sophisticated flavor.
These are straight up gourmet marshmallows. I could eat them plain but they are so much better in hot cocoa!
I like marshmallows, but I did not like these. I got a sample of the cinnamon flavor with high hopes, but after tasting them I was disappointed. The cinnamon was more spicy/tart than it was sweet and, in my opinion, it did not mix well with the marshmallow taste. I shared some with my friend and she agreed that they were nothing special. I would much rather stick with regular marshmallows!
I loved these marshmallows, they were soft, fluffy, and the flavor was amazing. I'd recommend trying these if you are a fan of rosemary!!
Ok, so these are fantastic. They are pricey but you know that when you order them. My husband and I both love them. I only wish that BB had more than the 2 flavors available because Three Tarts has 5 or 6 different flavors including Raspberry which I would certainly buy!
I have now bought the vanilla and rosemary chocolate versions of these. I looked the vanilla ones although I couldn't really detect a distinct vanilla flavor. The rosemary chocolate are very heavy on the rosemary and light on the chocolate flavor. I've had a rosemary mocha before in Portland and thought that these would be similarly refreshing. They're okay. I don't hate them, but I don't love them.
I received a sample of this in my Snowy Day box and forgot all about it until the temperatures fell into the 20's again yesterday. When I retrieved them from my cupboard, they were no longer soft like they were when I first got them a couple of months ago. But, I hope they were still okay to use, because I paired them with the Askinosie Cocoa and made a delicious treat for myself. Even though they had gotten a little hard, they slowly melted into the cocoa and added a nice touch of cinnamon to the cocoa. (I highly suggest getting the cinnamon flavor if you plan on using them for cocoa. ) You'll feel like you're indulging in a real treat. They are better than the ones you can buy in the supermarket - even nice enough for gift giving . I can only imagine how good they would have been if I tried them more when they were still soft and squishy!
I dont even like marshmallows but these are amazing. who knew?! it was a cold winter and i was craving hot chocolate. after reading the reviews i had to try and i am glad i did! I got the cinnamon and i plan on keeping these as a regular stock in my house. it slowly melts and adds an awesome touch to your chocolate.
I think Rosemary/Chocolate was the wrong choice for me, sometin about the rosemary flavor and being green and brown just wasn't for me!
got these in my special snowday birchbox. the cinnamon ones are perfect with hot chocolate, and they melt perfectly. also they're just a little powdery but super soft and squishy. fun to eat but also a little extra fancy than your average marshmallow.
I'm not a big marshmellow person, but I am a cinnamon girl. I was skeptical about trying these after receiving them in my snow day box. When I finally caved in and tried them I fell in love, I couldn't savor the taste long enough.
