Buh-bye sock bun. The style to rock right now is the romantic and effortless half-up, half-down. For a look reminiscent of Claire Danes circa Romeo + Juliet, rely on SARAHPOTEMPA's The Half Up™. Like its big sis The WRAP UP™, this nifty tool helps you fake a fuller mane and secures your bun without the help of bobby pins.
This is so much easier to use that the sock bun that is all over the internet. I love the bun look but my hair is really thin and a bun never looked good until now. The product is so simple and holds all day long. After taking out the Half-up, my hair was slightly wavy and had really go bounce.
My hair is shoulder length, slightly layered and rather fine. I found the half up a little tricky to use at first, however after a couple readjustments and attempts throughout the day, I was able to make it work. For me, it worked best if I didn't put the wrap up at the very end of my hair. I just tucked the end pieces into the bun as I continued to work up my pony tail. Also the tighter I made the wrap up bun, the better it held.
My layers and fine hair are not cooperating yet, but I'm hoping practice will make it better. It helps somewhat if I start rolling it farther up from the ends.
My hair was too thick to use it. This was hard to put in your hair too. My hair stylist tried it and suggested I use it for my daughter instead.
I have long hair, I found it awkward to use and could not get all my hair into it to use.
I love getting hair products so I was really excited about this. My hair is pretty fine so that may be the issue. It took a lot of practice to make it work. Once you get it, you will love it. I would recommend this product!
I have had this product for about a month, and I'm not in love with the results after I roll my hair. I don't know if it's because of all my layers, but it's not working as easily as I had hoped.
I have really long hair and when it's being a pain my go to is a bun. The Half up has been fun to use for high and low buns as well as working for casual and not so casual looks. I would highly recommend this to anyone with long hair and enjoys buns.
I tried this product a few different times and it kept pulling my hair out. I watched the tutorial video and followed it well and It just didn't work for me. Be careful if you have fine hair! I would think it would work well for medium to thick hair!
I have long, thin hair and this styling tool has saved my life. I CANNOT accomplish a sock bun and this looks better with MUCH less effort. Big thumbs up.
