We love high-watt girly glosses because they just make you look prettier. Period. Anastasia’s HydraFull Gloss delivers a mega-dose of high shine as well as bright colors that look great on all skin tones. Best of all, the fantastic formula is good for your lips, fortifying and nourishing them with hydrating ingredients like jojoba oil and shea butter.
I purchased this gloss and the texture and color are perfect. It is so good, that I used it right down to the point where I was scraping it out of the tube!
The color of this gloss was SO pretty and I was really wanting to love the product. Although I like the color, the applicator puts me off. It is like a little shovel. I think the reasoning is that the idea is that it would be easier than a brush to top off a lip color if you are trying to layer. I think that is true...it is easy to put a bit of this on your lips when layering, but then it is really hard to spread out evenly. I was challenged with this applicator. Because of that, I don't find myself reaching for it.
The gloss is a creamy orange pink with a hint of shimmer. The company claims it is clinically proven to maximize and maintain lip hydration and fullness. The gloss is packed with brown algae and Balkan Botanical infusion to promote healthy lips. The gloss promises to smooth, firm, hydrate and improve the appearance of the skin. The color went on sheer and lasted for 15 to 20 minutes. It made my lips a bit soft for an hour and wore after that. Also, be sure to exfoliate otherwise the color might pool up on dry flaky skin. Overall, it is a mediocre gloss for $21.
This is a relatively non-sticky gloss that feels nice and moisturizing on the lips. The pigmentation of is sheer to moderate, which is good because any more pigment and the frosty shades would cross the line into 1980's time-warp. I personally am not fond of using the silicone paddle to apply directly on to my lips; I thought it applied too much gloss and was a little messy coming out of the tube.
As far as the "good for your lips" formula, I'd give that mostly a thumbs up. The amount of skin-identical oils and triglycerides do a nice job of keeping the lips hydrated with daily use. As far as plumping, I like that the formula includes peptides, which have been proven to stimulate collagen production, but find it odd that Anastasia chose to list pink purslane as a volumizer. The plant seems to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, but I couldn't find any substantiation of the plumping claim. As far as other anti-oxidants, I'd prefer to see them in higher concentrations for a gloss that boasts them as a benefit.
All in all, this is a good product, if not on the pricey side for what it is.
This is the best lip gloss. The only thing i would change is the applicator. It is a hard flat surface instead of the typical brush you find on other lip glosses
i am more of a matte red girl. gloss just ain't my thang.
total miss for me. stop sending me gloss birchbox!
The paddle definitely takes some getting used to, but the gloss itself is excellent. I love the color and the tingle. It's my go-to gloss.
This gloss came to me in a pink color and that is not usually something I would wear. I decided to try it and I actually loved it. It is somewhat subtle leaving your lips with that pouty look but does have a high gloss.
I liked the applicator but that's about it. I didn't like the colour, but that was a personal preference. I didn't like the poor pigmentation and hated the fact that the gloss was incredibly sticky!
I love the color. I like the feel. But it smells kind of funny. I probably won't get it again because of that but I will enjoy the nice color while it lasts.
