I thought these were going to be headbands. I have almost the exact same thing from target, which I fold in half to use as a ponytail holder. I thought these would be the same. The tag that comes with it even says "hair ties and headbands." They are way too tiny to be headbands, even for an infant. As hair ties, these are not worth the price IMO.
Cute ties they just didn't provide enough hold for my hair. I really needed to be able to wrap it around three times and I just couldn't. Slipped out despite multiple different style attempts. I have thick curly hair.
I LOVE twistbands! They never pull, crease hair, or cause damage like other hair ties/ponytail holders. I recommend them to ALL my clients! (I'm a hairdresser.) Cute styles and colors/patterns. There are a lot of knock-offs available everywhere these days because people have gotten hip to the trend, but Twistband branded hair ties are really a superior fabric from the knock off brands. Will buy again and again!
I do not own any other kind of hair tie. I love these so much because they are funky and can show your personality or mood. But also extremely practical and don't leave that dreaded line in your hair after wearing your hair up ALL DAY. No line. Amazing.
I love the concept of twistbands. With thick, curly hair (and lots of it), I need ties for many regular activities, including exercise and also ponytail days. I like the color variety offered (even if the one I got was burnt orange - blech!) and that it doesn't leave that annoying ponytail ridge in my hair after use. However, like many thick/curly haired girls, there wasn't enough hold in this band to make it a perfect five-star product. If someone could create a band from this material that will hold my hair firmly in place through running and Zumba, that would be perfect!
I tried this cute hair tie I received in my monthly Birchbox. I have very thick, curly hair, and a lot of it. As I find with most wider bands, it slipped out of my hair over time. I typically use bands that are thin and can be wrapped around 3 times (this one only allowed for 2). I did give to it a friend who has thinner, straight hair and she said she loves it. Loss for me, win for a friend.
These are now the only hair ties I use since getting them in one of my monthly boxes. They come in fun prints and colors and work for both thin and thick hair. My favorite thing about them is they don't leave marks when I put my hair up during the day so when I take my hair down after work there is not this big indent around my head like I would have from a normal hair tie. Literally the only downside is they do tend to stretch out but most hair ties do. `
I was SUPER excited after reading the reviews for these because I thought I had found a solution to the dreaded pony crease... Not so much. Hate to break it to you, but these are not a cure for the common crease - they're just cute :)
I have pretty thick hair and I've used a number of different hair elastics for ponytails. But these are the only ones I have ever used that don't leave the pony tail "bump". So they're great for days when you want your hair out of your face during the day but are looking to go hair down afterwards.
I love love love this product. I have thick hair. I sometimes have a hard time finding stuff that will hold my hair. This product did! :)
