Birchbox Breakdown

We’re always searching for ways to stretch out time between visits to the salon: As much as we love a bit of pampering, our schedule and our bank account aren’t always on board. So of course we had to scoop up this pomegranate conditioner from Klorane, which can help hair color last up to twice as long. It locks in color while strengthening tired, treated hair—and gives us plenty of extra time before we have to book that next appointment.

How to Use

After shampooing, squeeze a dime-size dollop of the conditioner into hands. Stroke onto hair starting at ends and moving up strands. Stop before your scalp if hair tends to get greasy. Let sit for 2 minutes, then rinse out.

Smells great, but not effective

I bought this Klorane conditioner because I've had a really great experience with their other products (huge fan of their dry shampoo!) so figured this would be just as great. Sadly, it's not. The product smells fantastic and isn't overpowering but that is its only upside. It's extremely thick and viscous. Coverage is feels sticky (yes, sticky, in the shower) and doesn't rinse clean. I gave it a few tries and sad to say I was a little disappointed.

Loyal to Klorane

I absolutely to the shampoo so I bought the conditioner. I have long color treated hair and it definitely helps with preserving color. A little goes a long way and I have to be sure to rinse thoroughly to prevent for residue build-up. I haven't quite mastered the balance yet. I do wish it left my hair softer, but I think it's a great buy for the high quality of the brand.

I don't colour my hair, but..

I bought this because I was looking for a gentle moisturising conditioner for my coarse, red hair. Though I don't colour my hair, there are conditioners and products that do dull my hair or make it look muddy.

I liked this conditioner for keeping my hair looking the colour it should, which is what I wanted. It k made my hair feel moist and silky post-shower, though not as well as other products have, and it did frizz up more than it does with other conditioners. It also smells quite lovely, though the scent didn't last on my hair.

I did have to use quite a bit to get decent coverage (I have a lot of shoulder-length hair) - I ended up using more than twice than I would have with my other conditioners. As the other reviewer mentioned, it does have an oddish texture, though this did not put me off it.

I'm still debating whether or not to repurchase. I used up almost half the tube on my first use.
