MAKE is quickly winning me over with their consistently excellent make-up and skincare products that celebrate both bold and minimalist, always sleek looks. This duo is just another in that growing list.
Things worth noting: (1) "Illuminators" are a wide-ranging category of products generally designed to add highlights to the face with shimmer and/or brightness. This illuminator—I ordered the Skir tone, since I have a very fair complexion with a cool undertone—is a light-weight liquid with a mild shimmer that is applied through an easy-to-use brush applicator. Dab it on the high points of your cheeks, crest of the nose, and chin after powder and then buff it into your foundation. (2) I received a sample of the Llos color in a monthly Birchbox a few months ago, and it was both considerably more shimmery/glittery and far better suited for complexions with warmer undertones. (3) The Face Gloss is an ideal product for users looking for a very dewy finish. It applies cleanly, and dabs on over make-up without smearing foundation or color. A small amount of the product goes a long way, it lasts for a long time, and it doesn't clog pores or irritate oily-prone skin. Even compared to MAKE's Matte/Dewy palette, this one ramps up the gloss. Use sparingly, but to wonderful effect.
