Birchbox Breakdown

To get clear, go blue. Named for a stone of the same hue, this face oil gets its color from blue tansy—a plant oil with powerful anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Ideal for oily and blemish-prone complexions, the clarifying formula also contains squalane for moisture retention and jasmine oil for elasticity.

How to Use

Morning and night, roll a bit of oil onto your fingertips and massage into clean, toned skin. Store at room temperature and away from direct sunlight.

Amaranthus Squalane Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Capric Triglycerides (Fractionated Coconut Oil), Aleurites Moluccana (Kukui) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Tanacetum annuum (Blue Tansy) Leaf Oil, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Extract, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract (Rose Extract)

Pleasantly surprised

I'm a big fan of facial oils but my skin's been a little "testy" lately. When I saw this oil controlling oil (I know, it sounds contradictory) I thought I'd give it a shot.

First impression wasn't great; I didn't think I could roll enough on my fingers to cover my face, but a little does go a long way. It stays dewier longer than my other oils but once absorbed it feels great and makes makeup go on like a dream. The tiny roller is perfect to dab onto random dry spots in the day (around the nose, for me).

It makes my skin feel hydrated and plump but still seems to keep oil and blemishes in check. Personally I like the kind of herbal/medicinal scent, but it dissipates quickly if you don't dig it.

Herbivore is the best
Purchased

As a guy i try to find products like this. Ones that last and are worth every penny.

Lapis helped clear blemishes and i started using Plant Zit Zap charcoal mud mask before i use this oil and it removed all my underground zits within a week.

I mix Phoenix oil with lapis, and their Face elixir which has made my face feel hydrated and clean.

The scent is not strong but definitely lifts my mood.

Buying this one again.

Best facial oil on market. Love!

I have been using this in combo with the charcoal soap for about 6 weeks now and the change in my skin is hard to miss. My complexion has cleared up, blemishes are few and far between, my T-zone is under control, and my skin is balanced. And oh, how it glows! I adore this line and I am stoked that Birchbox now carries it.

Oily face

On purpose? Why would someone put oil on their face? It's far from something I would use. Please stop with the oily samples!
