I was curious what other reviewers had to say about this fragrance and I was a bit surprised at some of the reviews saying it smelled old ladyish and also that it didn't last. I actually felt that it was quite the opposite; youthful. To me it smelled a little bit retro circa 1972. I tend to describe scents not by notes or type such as floral, oriental, woodsy etc. but rather by inspiration or feeling that it conjures. Isabel by Tocca conjured a free spirited hippie chick, peace, love, long straight shiny hair topped with a halo of flowers, wide leg denim pants, crochet crop top and wedge platform sandals. This is the perfect summer scent. I wear fragrance according to the occasion, this is perfect for an outdoor concert, summer wedding, casual al fresco brunch with BFF's or even to spritz on before heading on a hike in the desert - really anything outside in the summer. Maybe not so much the office (not serious enough and maybe a little distracting) but it depends on your occupation. As to the poor reviews that it doesn't last and another review that said it was strong, I will admit that it is a little potent at first but it does mellow out beautifully after a little while. I believe people complain about fragrances not lasting just get accustomed to the scent and take for granted that they do still smell like fragrance and I think this also leads to the overuse of fragrance. I am a fragrance junkie and always looking for something different, unique. I own probably over 10 high quality expensive brand fragrances. This will be certainly be one of the next additions to my collection. I recommend it for yours.
