Why Beard Oil is a Must for Men with Patchy Beards

Im sure many of you have a sort-of beard like mine: Its patchy and doesnt fill out in the cheeks, but is plentiful enough to count for something. Its almost as if my beards hairline has recededonly it was never there in the first place. That said, Ive got plenty of hair around the chin, lips, sideburns, and jaws, so technically, its a beard.
Despite its shortcomings, I still prefer to grow it out to a centimeter in length, which means Ive got the same kinds of beard issues that the more hirsute men deal with: itches and scratches from dry whiskers.

Since Im quite religious about moisturizing my skin, I realized that I needed to do the same for my stubble. To complicate matter, the moisturizer I use is difficult to apply to the skin beneath my scruff.

Enter beard oil. It moisturizes and softens bristles using natural oils, making them more flexible and less prone to scratching your precious mug (or your significant others mug). They usually smell pretty rugged too, in case youre aiming for lumbersexual status. If you get one that also moisturizes skin, like Brothers Artisan Oil, youll doubly benefit your face by protecting it and hydrating it at once. Brothers in particular uses jojoba to soften hairs, plus argan and grapeseed to soothe skin, tighten pores, and prevent breakouts.

But the best part of it all? If you put in the effort to condition your facial hair, it will make you all the prouder to showcase whatever it is youve got. Happy bearding (and sort-of bearding), guys.
