Ever since I started wearing makeup, I've been using a mineral powder foundation. It's important to me that I'm not putting tons of chemicals on my skin. Recently, that makeup started breaking me out and my skin was looking really dull too. I already really liked the Universalist Color Stick as my blush, so I figured I'd give this foundation a try. It was an adjustment using a cream foundation instead of powder and I found that I had to experiment to get the coverage right--it helps that I like light coverage. I have acne prone skin and some scarring :( and am trying to heal that. This foundation immediately made a difference. Although I do find that I look a little shiny by the end of the day, a dusting of powder could fix that. Otherwise, my skin looks healthier with the makeup on and more hydrated all the time. I think it's the aloe in the formula that's doing it. The brush works great too and to prevent breakouts I just wash it with my gentle facewash a couple evenings a week.
