Is Titanium Tea the New Bulletproof Coffee?

Ferriss readily acknowledges the similarities between his (cheekily named) Titanium Tea and the Bulletproof Coffee made famous by self-proclaimed bio hacker Dave Asprey. His alternative morning cocktail follows the same fat plus stimulant formula, calls for many of the same ingredients (grass-fed butter, coconut oil), and touts similar effects: sustained energy and optimal acuity.

The main difference? Its teanot coffeewhich means you can control the caffeine content. It also includes other uppers, like theobromine and theophylline, to lessen caffeine dependency. Ferriss encourages users to experiment with ingredient ratios and the type of tea: Yerba mate, for example, includes a trio of stimulants (including caffeine) in equal parts, which he finds to be a good fit for his biochemistry.

Overall, his approach feels less strict than Aspreys. Ferriss acknowledges that the right tea (let alone grass-fed butter) isnt always readily available, and still enjoys the occasional cup of Joe in a pinch.

Watch the tutorial below (and check out his tips) to try Titanium Tea for yourself. And remember: body chemistry is unique, so consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
